About
Situated along the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, Swan Point Country Club has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in the state. Golfers who enjoy playing in the Carolinas will feel right at home on this course. Water or marshland comes into play on 12 holes and there is an abundance of pine trees. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including osprey, bald eagles, and deer. In addition to the water, strategically placed bunkers add another challenging element to the golf course. The par-5 fourth hole is considered the signature, mostly due to the challenging island green. Proper club selection is key in order to maneuver past the lake that runs along the entire left side of the fairway. The hole is especially hard on windy days.

Perfect
Perfect day on a perfect golf course. Staff was friendly, course in great condition, and weather was perfect. I could not be more complimentary towards any golf course. And on top of what I just said, as I arrived at course while walking towards club house, a lady ask if I was new to course. I answered in the affirmative and first thing her and husband ask if I would like to play with them. What great hosts they were. Perfect.
Best day
Hard to imagine there could be a better day of golf. Staff was friendly and courteous. As I pulled up in parking lot an Asian couple said hello and asked if I was new to course. Next thing you know they ask me to play with them so they could show me around. Course was not crowded, in excellent condition, and it was 79 degrees. It doesn’t get any better. I traveled almost 2 hours to play this course and didn’t regret a moment of the drive. Would become member of it wasn’t for the location. Super day.

The course has an absolutely wonderful layout very strong. greens were in excellent condition course was a little wet from rain cartpath only but overall not bad definitely can see how difficult this would play if it was 100% dry

Course was in great shape. I’ve never seen greens that good. Fairways in amazing shape. Staff was awesome and helpful! Definitely playing again and soon!
Going down hill
Cart path only ruff around the greens fairways so soft no roll on tee shots standing water on cart paths will be a while before I play here again
Can't control the weather or Golfpass
Swan Point has always been a good course to play. Staff there is great. Course was a lot wetter than anticipated so cart path only. Pace was affected by that. If they get a little help with the weather things will get a lot better. Drink machine at the turn was empty. While Swan Point was great Golf Pass was not. For the first time I feel like I was short sheeted do to the unanticipated pricing change that I did not recognize when I used TeeOff.
Spring golf
We love to play at swan point. The holes are moderate to difficult and can be challenging to new golfers. It’s a little muddy but not bad.

Hardest sand I’ve ever hit out of
We went up there and they had everything as cart path only (would’ve just went to driving range had we known). The sand traps I don’t think have been fluffed in at least a month so they were extremely hard, I know if I just played better the sand traps wouldn’t concern me but none the less it was a good time .
Tee boxes
Fairways and greens are nice tee boxes need some TLC
Take my advice, do not play here till August or next year
I played here before about 8 years ago and remembered it was very nice. Thr course layout is terrific! Not really for the beginner golfer but would appreciate the design.
But yesterday, 04/04/21, ..... the fairway is really Really wet. It's been a week after rain but still really mud fairway. It said CARTPATH only so we used our pull carts but even that wasn't easy.... ball plugs every time...
Green got dressed with arerification but still rolls nice so couldn't complain BUT it was so hard to walk in the mudds!!!
As it looks of it, it won't be dried soon..so check it out in couple months later, Not Now, Thats only thing I can say.

good to hear this, been years since I have been there and a friend and I were thinking about a day trip.
