Very Nice
the course is in great shape with very challenging greens and pin placement
great setup, excited to play it again soon
challenging but fair
Great conditions.
3 hours 50 minutes on a cool Wednesday afternoon.
Plenty of obstacles. No out of bounds from houses lining the course.
LOTS of blind shots. Need a local guide or modern GPS. Super hilly.
Uphill holes and dowhill holes
The course was in excellent condition and there is only one hole where water comes into play. Almost all holes are either uphill or downhill and there are very few even lies. There are several holes on which you cannot see the hole from the tee box. Best to play the course with someone who knows it. Beautiful vistas.
Awesome Course and Staff
This course is beautiful and challenging. Hills, water aand blind shots abound. The neophyte should bring extra balls and be prepared to lose some and not be upset. The beauty of this course and friendly staff offset the loss. A great place to learn what the golf ball does when played from all lies.
I especially appreciate Patrick Heath's help and enthusiasm he exhibited in finding and returning my sunglasses case that had been left in a cart when I buddied up with another player. A wonderful course and always a memorable experience.
Bring the Driver
Fairly straightforward, every par 4 or 5 is drivable, most of which are relatively open shots. However, there are A LOT of blind shots on the course, so the layout on the scorecard is crucial, and there are some doglegs.
The course was in GREAT condition, especially for a day after a night of rain. Greens were FAST however, left more than a few putts out there.
We (a twosome) got stuck behind a foursome that played very slowly, which was the only blemish on the day. We finished in 4:40 because of it.
What a beautiful course!
This was a great course. The course was well maintained and the greens were really nice to put on. There were a lot of leaves though and it was easy to hit into them and lose your ball in the fairway under leaves. It was still a GREAT course.
Nice Course
Really like playing this course and will play it again
Great challenging Municipal Golf Course
Little Bennett feels like a nice Country Club course. It has everything, grass driving range, putting areas, chipping areas, and a challenging long 18 holes. We took on a single and had a delightful time in a beautiful setting. Greens had just been plugged, so that was our only issue with the course. We realize you have to maintain a quality golf course.
Awesome course
Played this course many years ago when I first started playing golf and could not appreciate the course. Now that I have a few years under my belt and play with a little strategy, this course is one of the tops in the area. This course is in great condition, the pace of play is awesome, and it a challenging course with a lot of personality and great views.
Beautiful and challenging course
Good round. Minus a couple par 3 greens well maintained for a muni. Course is very blind. Several spot where you can't see the group in front of you. Seems a bit dangerous. Other than that. All was well. Really beautiful setting.
Good Value, Good Condition, Fun course
Played on Sunday as a Twosome, tee off at 1:50 (on time). Stuck behind a slow threesome for the front nine meant waiting at almost every hole, but jumped in front on back nine. Course was in excellent shape except too many untreated divots on the greens, and some tee boxes were a bit slanted.
Love the course though--definitely the gem of the montgomery courses. If you can play for under $50 and get a full round in, it's a pretty good deal.
Not walkable.
Great layout
If they would maintain tee boxes and mow and roll the greens, this course would be top 3 in Montgomery county
Value
Great value & tough course. Best Montgomery county course by a wide margin. Challenging with many blind shots. Greens are a little slow but in good shape & overall condition of the course really good.
Challenging course, lots of elevation changes
This is a really good and challenging course which utilizes a hilly landscape so that many holes have extreme elevation changes. As there are many forced carries, and not just off the tee, but also in front of the greens, it is probably not suitable for beginners.
it's a beautiful course
it's a beautiful and challenging course can't wait to play it again
omg! with money? i like to come everyday.
beautiful sight. nice and clean fast green
will come back for more play.
Tough for the first timer
I played here on a Wednesday at 4pm with 2 friends that have played before, which is a must. A lot of blind drives and elevation change. They need a ranger desperately. Pace of play was awful and we waited on every shot. This also resulted in the group behind us hitting into us multiple times because of all of the blind tee shots. 2 of the par 3's are a joke. They are gap wedge/sand wedge shots that play straight downhill. One of those kind of holes is fine per 18, but all 4 of the par 3's are downhill, and like I said, 2 of those are ridiculously short. The course plays fair (besides the 2 gimmick par 3’s) as long as you hit your spots. Price was very good to play, but $26 for a 6 pack of beer is too much. That’s more than I paid to play. Will not make it a point to play this course again for a while.
Greens and fairways in good shape.
The only problem with the course is 12 drives in which the fairway could not be seen.
Everything else was great. You need to be good at hilly lies.
Nice challenging course
Prepare to be long off the tee as there are some long holes. Along with that you have some blind shots. I hadn't played here in a while as it's typically too $$ for me being a public county course. The Golfnow deal made it worth the trip to play it.
friday late afternoon
i played little bennett friday at 5. great course, very challenging, especially for a first timer, after your second, third times playing it, its a lot more "fair" after you know the lay of the land. everything went just fine, except a walk up threesome jumped in front of my foursome on the first tee, and at that time there was no starter to sort them out. but after that we played incident free. played about 15 holes before leaving. great course, great shape, with a very very nice range.
