Course #1
Early season round so things weren’t great. Most Tee’s and fairways were pretty good. Half of the greens were pretty good but others were not.
Most of the sand traps were ok but some needed attention. I played for 15 bucks walking and meet Sean on the back 9 and had a good time.
Ponkie
This is a course with amazing potential if just a bit more effort was put into it. It has all the looks that a golfer could ask for. The fairways were fine but the tee boxes and greens could certainly benefit from some TLC.
In spite of that, I really enjoyed playing the course.
Donald Ross knew what he was doing.
I booked the tee up time of 3:00pm, with including cart fees in the GolfNow. However, I had to walk because the last time for cart was 2:30pm. I didn’t receive the cart fees yet, and I will complain to the GolfNow later. The condition of green was not good, whereas the fairway was good rather than I expected.
GREENS
I love this course, a little long for me, but worth it.
The greens need to be fixed up, #12 is like playing in bunkers, #17 is like mud at the top of the green most likely from too much shade from the trees.
Excellent track
The layout is most excellent greens a little rough end of year this was a one time a pga course I believe
Course design
Course 1 is well designed with improving fairways and bunkers (newer sand). Course conditions have improved. Greens and tees had a hard year and continue to be very patchy and burned out.
Staff is helpful.
Great layout but……
This track has so much potential. Just don’t understand why the course is so unkept. Looked like plenty of help was out there but the greens were one of the worst I have ever played. Fairways not cut and when they were, clumps of grass everywhere.
Guess the course knows this, thus the cheap green fees.
Get what you pay for.
Wouldn’t Recommend
I lost most of my balls simply because I couldn’t find them in the tall tall grass of the fairway. Couldn’t see my club head at times.. super frustrating when
This course is terrible, not maintained at all . Greens pitted, not routinely cut . Fairways are like cow pastures. They are stealing your money on course number one .
Absolutely beautiful course
My first time on course 1 and it was beautiful. They have a driving range, putting green and there was maintenance out there doing a phenomenal job. 10/10 will play again.
Greens are slow tho. Like reeeeallly slow.
Worst Course I've Played
I have only played courses in Ohio and this my first time playing in Boston so I am unsure of the overall quality across Boston and how that matches up with prices. With that being said, I have never played a course where half of the green has no grass on it, just sand. Made putting pointless. Overall slowest greens as well. Would not recommend. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere
Greens are in terrible shape, lots of bare dirt. Sand traps have grass growing in them, no sand to speak of. This course needs some attention badly, if it wasn't the ponly option at last minute I wouldn'r have played there.
Worst golf course I’ve played
This past Saturday a group of 5 of us travelled from out of state and booked a couple tee times for this course. By the time we got to the first green we knew we made a mistake, the condition of the green was the worst I’ve ever seen. Large patches of no grass on the green, grass clippings left all over the green.
We played 2 holes and was directed to the next hole and then found out we didn’t even play the correct hole. At this point the condition of the course was too much for us to stand and we left. First time I’ve ever left a round of golf early…. Really sad that our group travelled from out of state to be disappointed like this…
