Great Course
Beautiful, scenic, challenging course. Great layout that will make you think. Good risk / reward opportunities. Very clean, professional pro shop, with the top name brand products.
Great destination
I took my wife and my friend who are high handicap golfers and we all had a blast here. It is indeed very hills as the name implies and you need to have a good game or be prepared to lose some balls. Even with the challenge of the hills and many dog legs I loved this course, well kept and has great scenery. I highly suggest trying this course you will not be sorry you did.
Poorly treated customer!
I was forced to buy a collared
Shirt after I already had one. If I hadn't drove all the way from Clawson MI. I would have just left. Felt like I was treated unfairly and the staff complained about the Golf Now discount. I beleave this was the reason I was made to buy a shirt!
A favorite
We played this course several times in the past and it remains one of our favorites. Only real complaint was the slow pace of play and no ranger to keep it moving " while we're young" . Not always easy to see ahead on this course but in the few places we could we would see holes with no one on them and other times there would be three groups waiting on one tee box. Ok, my rant is over. This is a great course that we never seem to get tired of playing and I'd highly recommend it.
This course has it all
Very we'll taken care great views great facility must play
Beautiful Course, great condition.
It is a well kept course, great layout, challenging but very fair. I will play it again as soon as I have the opportunity.
Nice course!
Couldn't beat the deal for $9.00! Mostly private course.
Great Greens
First time on the Verona Hills course and we stayed and did a replay. The course has great movement from the tee in both directions that require you to work the ball from left to right and from right to left. The greens were in great shape with good speed , fair, yet very challenging.
Beautifully maintained layout with tough, fast greens.
Everything is here - hills, sand, water, woods, blind shots, daring shots and hard to read, fast greens. There is something to test you on each hole. I play here as often as I can. A great track!
well maintained
great golf course for the money, never waited
will play again
course is well maintained, pace was quick and staff was super friendly
Well maintained, greens are large and quick. Lost only a couple of balls and that is because we hit them in the woods. Would have easily been under 3 1/2 hours if we didn't sit under a couple of trees because of a passing shower or stopped to eat at the clubhouse. Never felt pushed or felt like we were pushing anyone. Keep up the great work and will definitely be back again soon
Great Time!
Our son had told us about Verona Hills a couple of years ago and we never found the time to check it out. But with Golf Now we got a great deal to make the time. Course was in great shape. We enjoy it when the fairways are not right up against each other so that you're not hitting into everyone else, or them into you. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though my husband and I didn't play the greatest, we would definitely go back again.
A hidden gem
This course is a wonderful course that is hidden in the thumb of Michigan. It will make you play all of your clubs and you will want to hit it in the fairway to avoid blind shots. Almost every hole doglegs left or right and the greens are extremely fast will multiple levels. However, this course is fair and I can see it being much easier if you played it often. I seemed to always be facing a big sweeping putt because I didn't know the layout of the green. Be prepared for a lot of sidehill lies. Fun course.
Hidden Gem
Old classic course on wonderful topography in the mostly flat thumb of Michigan. Not a flat lie on the course. Quick challenging greens. Tree lined fairways that force you to be creative when missing the fairway. Not lost in the forest like many courses. The design of this course results in golf being played the way it was intended to be played. Everything is out in front of you and it's not tricked up like too many courses that have been built in the last 15 years. Challenging, but fair.
Elevations, hills and undulations
After a normal opening first hole, be ready for uphill, downhill and sidehill lies along with some blind shots even when you hit the ball well in the fairway. Greens are large in excellent condition and well protected. You need hit onto to the greens with a fairly soft landing. Rough is thick and hazzards seem to pop up unexpectedly if you are unfamiliar with the course. Extremely tough course for a first time visit.
