27 holes offers flexibility
because the course has 27 holes, it offers good flexibility. For example, a mens league was teeing off one course, while I played solo on another course. pace of play slowed about 14 holes into the round, which wasnt bad.
Course was in good shape. Somewhat frustrating layout. the south course features back to back par 5's (which i disliked). Some fairways can be narrow. 3 holes on the east course border the highway and are very unforgiving to hooked drives. pleasant experience overall
Early in Season
Course had a lot of workers getting it ready for the year. Snack bar was not up and running so bring your own. Early in the season though. Course was a little wet but getting into good shape.
course
First time playing at the course. . I was very surprised by how excellent the conditions of fairway and greens were in. I can't wait to make this my home course for 2016.
Sincerely,
Al Mason
Great round at an amazing local course
For never playing the course it left me with many opportunities to score also left many of challenges to fit the eye as well..course was in great shape greens were true and the staff was on board and blowing the leaves from the fairways and greens..would recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge with great scenery and a chance to reel in a good score!
Slow Play and Rude golfers
My reservation from Golf now was messed up. Apparently it was double booked for the same time. Not sure what happened. They put us on the course in between two other tee times. The course was jammed and slow all day. I believe based on the pace of play they must have over booked a lot. It was so bad that golfers were screaming at each other. Almost a fight. It was a terrible experience.
Nice layout
Played south to west For the first time over labor day weekend. I walked to the first tee on south in awe over the hilly layout nd slight fog. Was definitely a pretty layout. Course was in great condition. Only dislike was how close some tees were to other holes. Wasnt much room between several of the tee boxes and other holes. Bring your off. I got chewed up by mosquitoes on the west course
Fellows now a real gem!!
Have worked at (in the 80's) and played this course for almost 30 years. Although never a dump , the new ownership has it in the best shape I have ever seen! The greens on the East 9 were like glass!! And very true! The South was a little slower, but still very nice. Tees have been improved and uneeded bunkers filled in. Great job maintenance! Keep it up!!
Good condition.
We played on a Sunday and the pace was great. Greens were in great shape.
Letting it go
I can tell that they are starting to let this place go. Course packed without any rangers doing their job. Getting a little rough around the edges
1st time out 2015
1st warm day of the year and I'm out golfing! Don't get much better! I'm a ready golfer so pace of play was really good. Greens were still dimpled a bit from aerating ( but it's still early ). Great getting out. Grip it and Rip it my friends !!!!
Very enjoyable course
I played the West nine using the yellow (senior) tees. The course was in very good condition and the layout is challenging without being overwhelming. I would recommend this course to any senior looking for an enjoyable round of golf.
fellows creek
Played 18 at an easy going pace, stopped at clubhouse for a drink at turn and the bar was closed so I had to get a gatorade.
New management turned this course around
I have not played fellows in years but this was the course I grew up on, being it was so close to home. The new management has really turned this track around. The course was in excellent shape and had a completely new feeling to it. I still believe it is overpriced for what you are getting and can find much better value at other courses in the area, if the price came down to 25 or less then it holds value and I would play again
Great course
All around great course to play ! Tee boxes, Fairways, Greens and even the bunkers are kept in very good condition.
Poor Management and pace of play
I expect when you pay $40+ a round you can expect to not have to play the same 9 holes again to get to 18. We signed up to play West to East or South but were redirected at check-in to West X2. It had little challenge because you knew the pitfalls from only 2 hours prior.
There were no rangers to keep the wanna-be pro's from keeping pace or playing ready golf. Too many tee times booked for Father's day so we ended our round early to not have to play a 6+ hour round.
This course seems like its mission is to make money by booking as many tee times as possible instead of caring about an enjoyable pace of play.
Course seemed a little crowded but pace was faster than what you would have expected.
Pace of play was good despite the course being crowded.
This course played very well...
The fairways and greens are well maintained...there were some spots marked off as ground under repair. The greens were firm and fast, even after an overnight rain.
Thank you for your review! We are glad we were able to accommodate you, and love being able to utilize all three nines to fit golfers in on a daily basis. We hope to see you again soon!
