TimberRidge Golf-Love IT!
Timber Ridge Golf has greatly improved since new ownership. The fairways, greens & traps show significant improvement. Many trees have been removed but course remains a challenge to play. The staff is excellent. Restaurant area all redone and plenty of staff. Only area of improvement in restaurant is to get a new computer system. The server is very slow and staff complains along with customers.
The driving range needs work. The area to hit balls needs to rotate more often.
Pace of play-4 hours on this day after we called for a marshall to get the group ahead of us to allow us to play thru. They actually allowed 2 groups to play thru. Handled very professionally.
Heck of a staff
Tom and Jim made sure my round was completed. They went out of their ways to fit us in on a very busy day. Hats off to a great staff
Great Course
First time playing this course. I live in East Lansing and have played almost every course in the Lansing area but not timber ridge. It was a good first experience. With all of the rain i was surprised with the great conditions of fairways even around water. Greens were great. Young man working the front counter was how all golf course workers should be! One of the better experiences I’ve had with a course worker. Overall great experience.
Excellent shape
After weeks of rain and end of Winter weather, I thought that the course was in great shape. Awesome job on the part of Timber Ridge.
Eat before you come to this course
Timber Ridge is a very nice course, but $6.00 hot dogs & $12.00 cheese burgers in the grill is simply ridiculous.
I played Moose Ridge today, an even nicer course in South Lyon, MI, hot dogs were $3.50 - right where they should be for an upscale golf course.
Timber Ridge, take after Augusta National and don't gouge your patrons on food. Like the title states; eat before you come to this course...
greens were easy to read (fast and true)
While not as blazing fast as The Emerald, the green speed was quick so practice putting before your round to get a few extra birdies. All that's needed is to get a good read and start the ball rolling, the perfectly smooth greens and your read will do the rest. Careful on downhill putts; best to lag it to what you think will be short and it will run right up to the hole.
TIMBERRRRRRR!!!!
Nestled in between tall Pines and Hardwoods, you'll want to keep it in the fairway on this mid-Michigan gem. It's very well maintained with some quicker greens and very intriguing layout, but can get into tough spots if you stray from the fairway. 4 sets of tees for any difficulty.
Will cost you $60 Prime-time, but always available for specials. Give it a shot.
Elevated tees yet most of the greens require uphill approach shots
It was only the 2nd time I've played the course and the first for my playing partner. We both enjoyed the course very much. It's very challenging but not unfair . Shot making and good putting are a definite requirement.
Great Course
The course is one of the most beautiful in the East Lansing area. Each hole is enclosed by trees, and the fairways, tee boxes, and greens are excellent. The only complaint I have about the fall is that there are so many leaves that it is hard to find your ball sometimes. Awesome course in general.
Lansing area favorite - travel to play it annually
Love this course, greens are wicked fast even in the fall. Very interesting hilly course layout. Beautiful in the fall, leaves could have and should been better maintained. Play it twice before you judge it so you know how to not short side yourself on the greens.
very nice layout very friendly
awesome!! great deal!!! great course carts and gps
Great wooded layout.
Price is high for Seniors. Should be discounted at this time of the year.
Nice course good buy
This is a very nice course, it has great scenery and isn't overly challenging. The course was in good/great condition and the pace of play was around 4 hours which was perfect. I would definitely recommend this course to a friend and will play it again.
Surprising Elevation Changes
I had heard for years that Timberridge was a top notch course and it lived up to it's billing. Memorable holes, elevation changes (especially on front) and good course conditions. From the middle tees, lots of opportunities for driveable par 4's. Lots of secluded holes.
