Just didn’t turn us on, one and done
My wife and I were not really impressed with this course. It’s not Ben grass and of course there’s 1 million condos but there’s no measurements to tell you how far you are from the hole a simple 150 white steak would be perfect and wouldn’t cost much.. Of course, was just rated with big plug holes on the green so of course they did not roll through true. We only paid $57 for the two of us on GolfNow so honestly that’s all we felt it was worth. I can’t understand pain 50 6070 bucks or whatever they charge here. I gotta give them credit. They were working hard on the course their aeration machine was going full tilt and Dave. The nice older gentleman. Cleaning carts was a real nice guy and the two young men in the clubhouse were also nice young gentleman but unfortunately I just compared it to Sundance that Agaming we just played today October 22 Tuesday and that was night and day difference and we only paid $74 for the two of us with our golf pass points and what not so I would not play that course again or highly recommend it to anybody too many other courses closer to home
Warm fall round
Beautiful fall warm day. Course was in great condition. Need to have a quick halfway house to grab a dog and drinks at the turn quickly. Beverage cart was on course but no food only drinks.
Not your ordinary golf course
I've played here I would give it a full 5 stars e probably 10 times in the last 10 years. I love the layout as the front is relatively easy, which then prepares you for the difficult back with lots and lots and lots of hills and elevation changes. Both sides are immaculately maintained. The greens are extremely challenging. I call it "hit and hope for the best." I would give it 5 stars except the cost of the alcohol is way overpriced - even at The Bear I paid less.
Great Course
The golf course is fantastic however, that’s only part of the story as their hospitality and restaurant are phenomenal
Great course. Fun holes and greens were true
Really enjoyed ourselves at the crown. Had some new golfers and some experienced golfers right mix of challenge and really pretty course set in a residential area
Great course….very fair with friendly landing areas. Greens are very challenging making chipping and putting very critical for scoring.
While the course was beautiful and very well maintained Porta-potties were less than desirable.and lack of actual coolers on such a hot day was disappointing.
Beautiful course at a reasonable price!
The Crown is truly a gem in Northern Michigan, offering beautiful views and a challenging, fun, layout! There are several elevation changes, as you’d expect from a northern Michigan course, and the design accommodates and accents them beautifully. The clubhouse and course are well maintained and the staff was all very pleasant and helpful. My son and I played 18 on a Saturday morning and finished in just over 3.5 hours. This was a fantastic experience and I definitely plan to play here again next time I’m in town!

We started in the rain. The first 9 holes were okay but the back was unplayable it was so wet
