Good Day
Course was in great shape! Fairways were perfect with no damage and mowed well. Greens were mowed and true. Fast but I didn't feel like I was on the tour.
Great Place
Wonderful Moorhead facility. Clean and ready for players. Practicing good social distancing techniques. Greens are fast and fairways are beautiful. Water is challenging. Overall a great experience.
Great Links layout
Routing is Great 5 doglegs on front and four on back
Variety You need to score on the Par 5's and front side Par 3's
On hole 15 and 18 take a 5 on the tough Par 4's and be happy.
You will be awarded with good shots and penalized with a slight mistake.
You will love how the greens roll.
Very impressed.
Pleasantly surprised with this course, excellent condition for municipal golf course. Lots of interesting holes, with trouble if you don't hit it straight. A must play if in Fargo Moorhead area, played on a Friday with a 30 dollar special including cart.
Standard
You can name it whatever you want. This is the standard course for the FM area. It's kept up very well and I've always had fun playing it. No shade on the front 9 and meandering through a neighborhood on the back 9. You'll like the course for sure, but nothing is going to blow you away.
Village Green
Another nice course in Moorhead, MN. This course feels a lot like The Meadows but there are some differences too.
The pro shop was very nice and the staff was very accommodating as I arrived much earlier than my tee time. The course is supplied with many yardage signs from tee to green. I never saw the bev cart until the 18th hole but at least it was out on this hot day.
The layout of the course is wide open but does feel long too. The front 9 plays very open but the back 9 is surrounded by homes and is much tighter. Once again, you have to cross the street to play the back 9. There are water hazards on many holes and tons of sand.
The greens were a little too dry making them very fast. The fairways and tees were great. My favorite holes were 2, 3, & 16. They also need some water coolers and restrooms on the course.
