Review
The course has a great design, some very long par 3/4s - no alcohol service if you're into that, and it is not allowed on course. I wish the rangers would have been a little more aggressive - course was also a bit of a mess in areas and we haven't had any major rain in about a week
Donald Ross
Rackham has withstood the test of time, great greens and tough par 3s on the back 9
Average public course in Metro Detroit
Tough greens demand precise approach shots to have a chance at birdie/par. A fair amount of ground under repair from weather damage. Would be nice if this course could inject some money into it and really restore this Donald Ross design to it’s full potential. Overall value is fair for the weekend. No issues with pace of play early in the morning. For Metro Detroit you can do better but you can also do a lot worse.
Decent course
If you are looking for something quick, in and out, rackham is your best bet. A good central southeast Michigan location. There were some wet zones considering it rained the day prior. I give it 6/10 score
Rackham Rebirth
Old Course, new ways..... Place looks amazing! All new Golf Carts with USB ports, Pro-Shop has a lot of new and cool items! Place is easy to get to and local... Staff have been working hard to make this place better and I am very happy because this course is one of my favorites. It's playable for any person or skill level. Would check out the changes if you get a chance...
Good Course
The course was is great shape, except the greens need a little work. Other than the greens, my only other gripe was that it was a little over price. $45 on a Saturday Morning seemed like a bit much for the course. Otherwise, the course was great to play with some challenging, but accessible holes. I will definitely be back.
Good Course
The course was in great shape overall, except the greens needed a little help. They’re doing a great job with what they’ve been given. Besides the greens, my only other gripe would be the price. $45 for a Saturday Morning is a little much for that course. Otherwise, a great course with some challenging, but accessible holes. I will be back.
I booked 18 holes, but when we got there, wa told could only play 9 holes
Great time
Was great to get out for the first time this year. Perfect spring day. Nice course. Could tell they are working on some stuff for the full swing season to get going.
Enjoy the course and cool being able to see animals from the Detroit zoo!
A Classic
Great layout.
Great price.
Very slows players all over the course but that's what happens on a 60 degree day late in November in Michigan. All the horrible players were out there for a last hurrah.
Nothing anyone could do about it.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON ROUND
We got behind some slow players to begin. They need a Ranger to police this. Yet the Ranger would not let the group behind us play a fivesome even though they were keeping up. Slow players must be reminded to keep up with group ahead.
Good Deal
Got a great deal on price. Course was busy but pace of play and golfers were great!
