Shirkey Golf Club

We had a good 27 here....can't wait until summer....go play this course!

Shirkey Golf course is a great place to play on a weekend with family or friends. The staff is very friendly and the pace of play is great to enjoy. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition. I've played this course about 8 times this summer on weekends and have enjoyed every round with my family and it is a great value at their weekend rate.

This is one of the best courses in Northwest Missouri. I highly recommend playing it.

Played Shirkey at my own pace. Lucky for me, I work early and get off early. I can usually play by 1:30 or 2:00, so normally can avoid the crowd. I have played this course many times and always enjoy it! Easy to get to. Shirkey is just off 13 Highway in Richmond.

Love playing Shirkeys!! Beautiful Sunny Day and the Greens were perfect. Great Staff. Will definately be back.

Great layout. Well worth the hour's drive to the course. Also played Shirkeys in August. Both times the staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of fun!!

I have heard such great things about this course so i decided to make the drive and check it out. 1st impression was very dated club house. 830am tee time and lights weren't even turned on yet. Must of been trying to save electricity. Aeration was taking place so had to play back nine twice. Gentlemen working in pro shop had no idea when front would be open. Course was empty so pace of play was excellent. 2hrs for 18 holes. Greens were in great shape. No divot scars whats so ever. Tee boxes and fairways were horrible. Crab grass and weeds everywhere. Would not make the drive again.

Course was in fantastic shape, greens rolled smoothly with good pace. Great to see the course back in such great shape.

The course has a very nice layout. Not a great deal of up and down hills. Greens were in great shape but the fairways had a lot of weeds and seemed to be cut long and the rough was definitely long. I didn't check but this may be one of those courses who have decided to be more earth friendly and cut down on herbicides and mowing. Overall I enjoyed the round.

This coarse was beautiful even when it had rained all week. I loved it!! I will be back to play again even if it's been raining.

Love this course and this was an awesome value! One of the best kept secrets in the "outer" KC area. Other than some dandelions, the course was in great shape. The golf shop staff was very friendly. The snack shop was not impressive at all. The prices on the menu looked good, but they didn't have any hot dogs available on the hot dog machine. They were out of hot dogs, so I got a brat, but had to wait for them to grill one. They were also out of Michelob Ultra. Stopped after 9 to get a snack & drink and there was no one even working in the snack shop. Couldn't wait around, so they lost that sale. Loved the course and will go back again in a heartbeat, but I'll pack my own snacks, etc. next time!

We've never seen Shirkey in better shape. The greens are outstanding. Keep up the great work guys!

The course was in good shape except for the debre on the greens which was from the trees.

tee boxes need some work. there hasn't been any water on fairways. but they are in good shape. greens are quick and read true. course is easy to get on, and quick to play.

It rained all morning, and stopped just before our tee time. We decided to go to driving range. (Ran down, and almost unusable... mats and tees no existing, and slight slices send balls onto the first fairway.

Overall condition of the course given the rain was above par, and we had to swap carts as the first one was set up and would not engage into forward gear. No service on the course, and bathrooms were locked except the back 9 restroom, which should have been as it was unusable. For 25 dollars the value of.playing the game was ok, and would have been better without the rain. I would go back again, but with different expectations.

I thought Shirkey was nice and would definitely go back. The greens were aerated and sanded, and the fairways were slightly diseased but it is early in the season. I would like to go back in the prime of summer when the course is at it's greenest and play again. Definitely a nice course that I'd recommend.

It was a little cool that day. I was kidding with the staff about a cart cover. So they gave us a cart with a cover. That us extremely nice of the staff
