Reviews
Ashland Golf Club
The entire course was covered with dandelions so you would have difficulties seeing your ball in the middle of the fairway. tee times were also not organized well. When we came upon the combined hole 13 & 14 tee box there was 16 people backed up waiting at the two holes.
nice value
the value of the GolfNow tee time was reasonable for this course. would buy it again.
Pace of play is slow, greens in bad shape.
Course was fine, disappointed they didn't tell us the greens had just been aerated. Green fee's should of been less because of the poor putting surface.
There's too many courses in the Omaha/Lincoln area to play. I'm not sure I would play this again because of the greens and slow play. Three women were playing a scramble in front of us with no marshall to speed up play.
I apologize if the green conditions were a surprise to you. An aerification icon was placed on each GolfNow reservation spot for the course to try to notify you of the conditions. We would love to have you out to play the course again, the greens are now in great condition. Please feel free to send me an email at devon@ashlandgolfclub.com with any other concerns you may have.

Staff was friendly, everything else very frustrating
I was hoping for a much better experience. The fairways and greens were much longer than normal making it very difficult to putt and strike ball cleanly from the fairways. I realize it is the fall season, but there were so many leaves on the course that I lost 7 Pro V1's in the middle of the fairways. Again, frustrating. On hole 10 our cart ran out of batteries so I called the pro shop on my cell phone. The lady that answered was incredibly friendly and brought us a different cart but she was the only employee working at the course that day. While waiting for the replacement cart, we let several groupings play through which made an incredibly slow pace of play more painful. Our group normally plays 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. This outing took almost 5.5 hours to complete. By the time we hit the 18th tee I was just wanting it to be over. And good thing it was as our replacement cart hardly had enough batteries to make it to the pro shop. I hope this is not "par for the course" for this establishment and definitely think that the decision to only have ONE employee to work on a Sunday was a poor one that management made. With that said, the lone employee was extremely friendly and I could tell she was doing her best given the situation she was placed in. I am not very eager to play this course again.
Ashland Golf Course
Cheap price, course was in good condition. Slow pace of play though, members play five somes and take several minutes to get through each hole. Took 4 1/2 hours to play the round
Nice course
Nice course. Easy as far as length. A little challenging with narrow fairways but can recover pretty easy. Will play again.
Round cut short
Fairways were narrow, but forgiving with light rough. Sand traps were not well drained. Greens were in good shape. A shotgun tournament was booked overlapping my round. But the guys gave me a rain check to come back and finish the course.
average, but not worth the drive
decent course, but the greens were pretty rough. lots of weeds around the tee boxes and greens. condition wise it reminded me of the knolls a few years ago before the city took it over.
rough greens
Greens were in pretty rough shape from the harsh winter, very choppy. Every other part of the course was in good shape.
Disappointed
Greens and tee boxes in poor condition. Bald spots on greens. Weed problem on fairways and tee boxes. Fairways in fair shape. Overall much worse condition than 2 yrs ago. Won't be back for a while.
Average
Extremely flat, very few test holes. Good place to get away and play in peace and quiet. Greens were in awful shape, I'd imagine that is not usual most years
Conditions
The greens are pretty beat up still from winter kill and haven't grown back very well. Other than that the rest of the course in pretty decent condition.
Flat is Better!!
Ashland Golf Club is a great place to play. Although I am from Iowa, I have played here a number of times. They had some winter kill last year but the greens will be repaired. New ownership is making the necessary changes with the golf course and clubhouse to make this a better experience than in the past. The course is somewhat flat however, it has areas of tough rough, water and plenty of trees and sand to give you a fair test. For those of you who gave this a less than favorable review, I would suggest giving it another chance. It really is a great place to play. And No, I am not a member. I live too far away or I would be.
Ashland Golf Club
Course is improving from the difficult winter. Greens were running a 10 on the meter.
Ashland Golf Club
We played today and the course was in great shape. Most Nebraska courses lost greens and fairways this past winter and this course was hit hard but it has greatly improved over the past month. The course is not perfect but is getting much better every time I play it. Most of the winter kill is gone and the greens are running at a 10 on the Stimpmeter. Not too bad!
Extremely poor conditions
The greens were worse than any greens I have ever played on. They're excuse- winter kill. They said others around Omaha have the same thing and even named a few. We've played those courses and that is not the case. Then 13th green was moved to the rough. It was 20 feet in diameter and unplayable. I've seen better greens in drought stricken years. The tee boxes were full of weeds. The best part of the course was between the tee and green other than that it was despicable. I would NEVER recommend this course to even the novice player.
Great day for $15...
$15 for 18 holes + Cart + Golf Now Fees = $18.xx
As described in previous reviews the greens were in poor shape with lots of dead grass. The course is enjoyable to play and I am not good enough at golf to care about dead grass on the greens. Overall, great day !!! Would go back for same price!
Wont go again
Had a 6 players in my group from all over the country fly in for the CWS and decided to make a golf trip out of it. The course was close to our campsite so we decided to try it. Never again.
The greens were the worst I've played on since I started golfing 11 years ago. I don't know if they have a terrible fungus or they simply don't care. Either way, its barely playable. Tee boxes aren't much better. At the price point ($32) you can find much better conditions and more value all over the Omaha area.
Course conditions
Greens were in absolute terrible conditions. I would recommend to a friend as long as greens were fixed and it was actually worth the $40 I paid.
Go somewhere else
Played a quick 18 after work for $25. I can't see how they would charge more than this for the shape this course is in. I played it previously a couple years ago and the course was pretty decent. Now it is a dump. Weeds growing on tee boxes that were not cut. One of the par 3's did not even have a pin or hole. Greens were horrible and not cut. It was like you were putting on a fairway.
We apologize for your experience not being what you desired. All fairways and tees were sprayed for dandelions last fall and this spring. Moving forward we will spray all areas of the golf course so the rough will be clear of dandelions as well. We would love to have you back to see the visible improvements we have made to the golf course!
