Nice course
Would be better if they had a ranger , so peeps would not screw around should not take 5 hours to play 18 . Had 5 3 somes & 1 single in front they would not let anyone play thru
Greens are challeging
Course was in good shape considering the several days of over the past week or so.
Fun for the average golfer
Not as pretty or as challenging as it's other Metropark cousins but a fun course for the money. The Metroparks have done a great job with this course since taking it over and if you have not played it, you should give it a chance!
Wide open
This course is great for higher handicappers as you can drive the ball slightly right or left of the fairway and still have a decent path to the greens. The greens were moderate in speed and in excellent condition.
Week Day Golf
Nice little course to play during the week played with a coupon from golf now. Made it worth the money
Shaggy greens. Need better maintenance but still a nice course.
I have played here a lot and this was the worst conditioning for this time of the year. With little rain the crew should have been able to cut greens down so they rolled out nice. Greens were very slow and rather shaggy with made for a tough day on the greens. Shot 40 on the front with 20 putts as I could not get committed to killing the putt to get it to the hole.
NICE ROUND
NO PROBLEMS ,,OTHER THAN VERY MOIST FAIRWAYS... greens are as fast as the price you pay
Pace of play
Not sure if there was a women's league or what, but the pace of play was extremely slow! Had to play the front nine twice to avoid the extreme wait on each hole.
Relaxing
Open Course that has few trees that come into play. The greens were spotty (some dead areas) The Greens were not fast. Good place to play golf in the fall as the lack of tree's could make it hot to play in the summer but great to play in the fall. Cost for playing the course were excellent. If your looking for a good deal with a reasonable challange then this is a good place to start.
Bargain
Excellent deal for the course! Less than $1.25 a hole, with cart, can't beat it!! Friendly staff, good carts, perfect day...what more can I say...
its okay
I was surprised for Metro Park, that the course was in such poor condition. A lot of straight fairways, not a ton of challenge.
Needs some TLC
Took my 9 year old. Good course for beginners, but the fairways are below average. Needs to be watered more. Hotdog in the pro shop looked to be about two days old.
Average
Fairly easy flat course. Grass on greens was very long making them very slow.
Desk Manager is rude
The course is a decent course, not too challenging and not too easy and is well-maintained. The desk manager, however, is rude. We set a tee time through GolfNow for 18 holes at 4:58. When we arrived, he made sure to make it known that he didn't appreciate how late we were going out. At 8:25, we were halfway through the 17th when he rides out to tell us how long we were taking and said that he needs to close up by 9pm. He said that he didn't think it would have taken us this long to golf 18 (in my opinion, 3 1/2 hours is not an outrageous amount of time to golf 18 holes). I don't appreciate being rushed, especially when we were on track to being done well before he was planning on closing. My advice to anyone thinking about going to this course - don't go late in the day, don't try to enjoy yourself, and golf as quickly as you possibly can so that the desk manager doesn't have to stay one moment later than he feels he needs to. We won't be going back; there are enough courses in the area that we don't have to go back to the ones where we are treated poorly.
Fun course to play
I have played this course with my 10 year old son several times. Several holes that have water in play including crossing the creek 4 times. Good place to kill 4 hours and have some fun.
Course is great for average golfers
Booked the evening before our round, very easy. Arrived at course about 20 min early and was able to play right away. It was mid-day so not much of a crowd, finished 18 holes in 3Hr 45 Min. Ball washers were dirty and almost empty. Carts had the nice club scrubbers on the side they were empty and dirty as well. Course in good shape, had a nice afternoon.
Wolcott Mill
Two of us played, early in the morning on a Friday. It was mostly seniors out there. The pace of play was steady but not fast by any means. The course has it's challenges. There are trees and water that definitely come into play. You do have to make decisions about what to shoot up to, or over. Plenty of foliage to lose balls. Keep it straight. The greens are slow in the a.m. , but seem to get better as the sun dries 'em up. Not the toughest course I've played, but certainly not the easiest. Going back to play again tomorrow, and looking forward to it. It's a good day out. Don't eat the clubhouse food. Plan ahead. That might be the best tip I can provide

Course was good shape for as wet as it was with the exception of sand traps. Didn't loom like they have been touched since last season, they were dry and.like a rock. Fortunately, i only wound up in
1 once. Probably will play again for the money
End of season play
Tee box pins had been removed for season so was kind of a guessing game.
