Not bad
1st time. Went on a tues. 8am teetime. 9hole course you play twice from different tees. Nice layout. Pretty well kept fairway. Rough was okay and the greens were good. Can't say much for pace of play as we were the first group there . For a bargain price well worth it.
If you love to play its a good course
The greens are usually pretty good and difficult enough to allow the course to defend itself because it's length will not intimidate you. The overall conditioning leaves something to be desired. But despite its shortcomings it's a fun course to play. I have played this course many times and will do so again.
Fun Course
It's a fun course to play. Nice greens, hills, a creek that causes a few lengthy carries, and scenic. Played on Columbus Day with my 9 year-old and finished in 3 hours and fifteen minutes. The course is not too difficult but you can get in trouble and the penalty strokes can add up. We will definitely play here again.
Asker to restart round halfway through
We had a 12:45 tee time. Arrived half hour early to see sign that course was closed until 1pm for tournament. We got halfway through the course, I was +1 through the prior three holes, and were told we had to restart our round because they didn't want us to hit up on the playoff going on. Why even offer a tee time if you knew this was going on? Course was scorched and patchy but greens were ok. Couple in front of us once we restarted were playing excruciatingly slow. Had fun here in past but this was really brutal and not worth it. Guess a bad day of golf beats a good day at the office..
Good Value
Was passing thru this area and wanted to get a round in. Golfnow price of $12 w/cart. How bad could it be?
They should advertise that it is a 9 hole course with 2 sets of tees, which they didn't. But for $12, I couldn't resist the urge to find out. Nice design, though not a lot of maintenace and with hot, dry summer fairways are burned out, but greens in good condition. Hey, what do you want for 12 bucks? enjoyable round.
Mainly a practice course
Really a 9 hole course that you play twice. Very inconsistent course but is good for beginners. Very forgiving. Greens are challenging and are very difficult to read, especially because some are fast, some are slow. Certain areas of the fairway play like a parking lot. Hard and ball will go where it wants. Example: Hit a drive that I was worried might go out of bound on the left side of fairway. Landed safely in then proceeded to roll all the way to the right side edge of out of bounds. Good place if you just want to get a cheap round of golf in and don't want to be rushed. Didn't see one staff person on course at all.
Monroe CC
Played as a twosome on Sunday afternoon and didn't run in to anyone until the 16th hole. Course is short and it looked like there were a few other groups out there but can easily be played in under 3 hours. Not very challenging but the conditions of the fairways were concerning. Mostly burnt out with occasional dirt patches means you're better off in the rough. Greens were still in OK shape. I would maybe come back in the fall, but not a bad option for a last minute round on a weekend afternoon.
Laid back atmosphere, nice course.
Nice course with a laid back atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and the course is not n good shape. The greens are in better condition than in the past.
A comfortable diversion
A 9hole, double tee box for second 9. Fairway and green slopes lend difficulty to play.
Great value for money
First time playing this course, great for beginners, but also have some challenging holes. This is a great value for money, and I would definitely recommend this course.
Offer you couldn' refuse
$10 green fees on a Saturday, you have to play. ( hole course different tee boxes for back nine. Course in good shape, tee boxes a little uneven, traps more dirt than sand, greens roll pretty true, and staff are friendly.
Nice Surprising course across the river
First time at the course and was pleasantly surprised for the value of the course and the condition. Alot of slopes and challenges on the course.
unfriendly man
at the end of 18 holes we were thinking of playing another 9. asked the attendent what it would cost around 3:30. he gave us a price of $30 and said this was no golf now price, there was no one on course.
we left he was very rude and this was after paying $18 for a 6 pack. ( $ 30 each, its only 35 for 18 ) what a jerk
Unfriendly staff
When we showed up on a Monday morning in the fall, not even a good morning greeting from the front desk. I suddenly remembered the surly woman the previous time I played this course. I don't want overly friendly, just pleasant demeanor. We were 1 of only 2 groups at the course.
The course is a nice 9 hole and had no leaves on the fairways. It is the perfect course to bring your kids to see if they love the game.

scenic
the stream across several fairways is a great feature, love or hate it.
Lousy course and worst customer service ever!
Arrived on time for our reserved tee time. Played nine and stopped in the clubhouse for a burger at the turn. To our dismay, a children's shotgun tournament was starting 45 minutes later when we came out to play the back. There were little kids on every green and tee box. Our round was over. The manager did not offer any credit or even an apology for the scheduling error. He could not have been more obnoxious.
Not worth the trouble to play on this cow pasture.
Challenging Greens
Fairways very dry. Have not had rain in a while.Need sand in bunkers.
Decent for price
The course layout for playing 9 twice is great but the conditions evertyime I've played is not good. Extremely dry with crab grass everywhere, incredibly enough the greens are very good. Great views and fun course other than the drab conditions.
Unpleasure
Thia course was just like a abandoned place. There was no ranger to control. There were so many weeds and clovers in the fairways instead of grass. Tee boxes were so muddy. Even hough green fee was vey cheap, I wasted my precious sunday afternoon. If you like to play golf avoid this junk yard.
Great practice mountain course
The course itself is not difficult as it is short, but presents some challenging lies since a few holes are sloppy. The greens are in great conditions, but the tee boxes and fairways need some attention. It is a good course to practice playing on hills and elevation changes. I also think it's very smart that this 9 hole course offers two sets of tees, to give an 18 holes feel to it!
