Friendly owner, course in great shape
Given the lack of rain we’ve had in the area, this course was in very good shape. The fairways, greens and tee boxes were as green as they can be without natural irrigation occurring. One thing I noted was how much the owner cared about the conditions, as he was constantly driving around turning on/off the sprinklers on various holes during our round. This is a 9 hole course, but we played 18 with a cart for under $20 which I think is phenomenal. We talked with the owner for a while and he was very friendly, even offering to let us play a few more holes before dark. There was absolutely no one else out there, and we cruised along at a very comfortable, relaxed pace on a beautiful summer night. If you haven’t had the chance to play Pinewood, I’d strongly encourage you to do so!
