Quick round 2 hrs 45 mins as course very quiet. Nice layout although fairways / greens very slow I assume as result of recent wet weather coupled with length of grass. Overall enjoyable 18 holes

Fairways good some greens need some work on but all together value for money

I have played at Holltop for a number of years but haven't played here for about 18 months the up keep prior Mtime taking over was I would say pretty average with fairways reasonable but greens not so good to the condition and the bunkers were always Rock solid. However since MyTime has taken over the up keep of the course has improved with lovely fairways and difficult semi rough and a big improvement with the bunkers. Unfortunately the greens when I played were in poor condition! Lots of different shades of grass and even grass missing such a shame as if the greens were on better condition this would be an outstanding course!!!

We had a great round here and the course was is in great condition.

The club house is not so much tired but more exhausted but the staff make up for this

Enjoyable varied course.......some would find the greens a bit patchy....
I find the bunkers have hardened up and could be raked over more frequently. I like this couse..(no water!!)
Worth the 45 min drive.

Have played Hill Top a few times before and overall the course is OK, however the greens were very patchy with a lot of moss and burnt grass so accuracy was not good. Also the tees were quite long, however the course has a lot of interesting holes and as a 'pay and play' course is fine. We paid £11.00 (including Tee off's booking fee) so VFM was fine. Buggy hire was £20.00 (my playing partner has a dodgy hip!) so overall a fair course, a bit hilly in places but overall OK

Course needs attention.
Fairways more like rough in a few places.
Swampy puddles at edges of a few greens.
We noticed cigarette butts on a few holes - not the club's fault.
Staff could be more welcoming.
On a more positive note, other golfers were courteous.

The course is very testing especially the first nine.
But the greens are badly maintained and the sand in the bunkers are like concrete.
You have to bring your a game to score well , this course could be top notch with a little investment . Also there is no alcohol available on week days (major downer) on this course.

with very hot weather the fairways grass was cut to zero height and the tall grass at the sides was also cut low making it easier to hit longer shots and still be able to find your ball easily
the greens were watered but were multi coloured due to the weather - the bunkers were however in poor condition

Really enjoyed the round yesterday with two birdies (10th and 11th).

Darren staggers the tee slots well and they did a heroic job to keep any green grass on the greens with the weather.

Enjoyed the day. Spoilt by poor indication right from the start. From the club house no direction to the first tee. Some tees had decayed remains which once were tee numbers. No distance or index indications at all. Hadn’t played the course for many years. Felt let down to what other courses offer. You have to be on the fairway or if your off in the long grass you’ve lost your ball. To me there seemed an air of pending doom in and around the clubhouse. Perhaps the club is struggling a little as all bunkers are GUR . Just lack of care or perhaps money.

Very competitively priced through TeeOff Times. Course is excellent for a municipal and fairways were in great condition. Most of the bunkers were in need of attention and were all deemed GUR - not a problem as managed to stay clear! Greens played true, even if there was some areas where there was burnt brown patches. The newly purchased putter might also have made a difference? Would have no hesitation in playing here again.

Nice course, needs a bit of TLC. Grass on green too long, far too slow. Fairways play like the first cut. Some bunkers are not in use.
Could be so much better!!

rough could do with cutting back as this slowed play down, with people looking for balls, greens are in good condition but bunkers need some TLC.

Whilst you can agree that if your ball goes in the rough you may not find it, what you can not agree though that if you hit the fairway you still can’t find your ball. The fairways had not been but and were covered in Daisy’s and dandelions making looking for your ball impossible in those conditions and then also made worse with the grass cuttings from when ever some one had actually in the past attempted to maintain the fairways. Four of us had been looking forward to this game of golf. After the front 9 one of our playing partners gave up due the annoyance of the condition of the course.

I have played this course a few times because it is or can bea good course, but the on going very bad condition of the bunkers, and now this visit was ruined due to the mowers breaking down, so the course hadn't been cut and was very hard to play. Also my playing partner lost 9 balls, not sure too bad play. Please please please get this course sorted because it's a lovely course going to rack and ruin.
