Good value and a good test
Overall good condition though the overgrown clover in the rough loses a lot of balls that you should be able to find. A good test with some tight fairways, elevated greens, etc.
Golf Day
A friend and I booked the course because we saw it was fairly priced on golf now. Before you book understand that unless you are walking that’s not the price you are going to pay. The cart fee alone is 30 bucks is kinda crazy for this course. The pace is super slow due to a lot of walkers as well, and a group in front of us were hitting multiple balls each. The course has no beverage cart and the greens are kept in ok conditions. Personally there are better courses for the money in the area.
Fairways in poor conditions
Recent rains have resulted in many of the fairways being flooded and requiring players to use cart paths only. My 4 some was walking and even then it was a mess to get to the ball, which was buried in mud on many fairways.
Range was also closed on Saturday 2/24/24, agin due to rain.
Played here many times but this round was the first in 3 or. 4 years. It’s cheap to play but you get what you pay for. Tread carefully.
Best bang for your buck
If you're frugal like me, this is the course for you. It's narrow and challenging and the greens are are hard to read. Use your driver sparingly and you'll have a good round. The course has changes in elevation, but it's walkable.
It was so nice
I joined new friends and I had great time with them.
Wonderful course
It's very interesting course.
It's not easy to make good scores.
Enjoyable play
Despite recent heavy rains leaving the fairways on the 1st hole quite soggy and muddy, making some spots nearly unplayable, my overall experience at Fullerton Golf Course was quite satisfying. The greens, thankfully, remained in solid condition throughout. Despite the recent rains, the rest of the course was well-maintained. The layout was also pretty fun and had some challenging holes. Overall, aside from the soggy start on the 1st hole, the course conditions were pretty good overall and I really enjoyed playing here. It was my first time coming here and would definitely come back. The price was solid also.
Not worth
Rude staff and conditions are terrible. Very slow pace. You get what you pay for! Much better courses in the area.
Compare in O.C.
If you compare Fullerton with other courses in the area in O.C. Fullerton is best, well manicure, distances well mantain,up and downs ,obstacles to keep you entratein. Well done don't let go bad .
Only option in area but …
Course needs so much work to be playable. Understand that this course was built in a drainage valley so maintaining it is difficult to say the least and it is narrow. Add to that it is the only 18 hole option to play public golf in the area of North Orange County and that most of the golfers are beginning level and don’t understand how to maintain course conditions by fixing ball marks on greens and filling Fairway divots with sand and not staying on the card pass when required and you get very poor conditions, especially after rains as many of the fairways drain slower than molasses. if you’re desperate to play golf and want a slow experience with beginning golfers, constantly losing balls due to the narrow Fairways which created overall poor experience this is your place. More marshals are needed for sure to elevate the level of this dumpster fire
Getting better
The greens and fairways are getting much better these days. Thank you.
