Good Value
Woodbine was surprisingly spongy on the greens and most of the fairways. They are still recovering from some harsh winter damage last year. Whereas there are some bald spots that are a bit of an eyesore, they are extremely playable. I ended up on a few and got up and down fairly easy. Its not a particularly difficult course to maneuver and holes 12 and 14 are nearly identical besides the tree lines. 13 and 16 are essentially twins as well. However 14 and 16 are a smidge longer. Its very easy to get lulled to sleep and misjudge 14 and 16. The front plays fair, 1st hole is a breeze if you play middle to right side on the fairway, taking the trees out of play. The 2nd and 3rd are pretty straight forward. The par 3's on the front are complete opposites. 4 is very short and 7 is very long. You get a good variety on Woodbine as far as clubs, youll typically use your whole bag in one round which creates some skill required, but not entirely much. The wind is typically your worst enemy on most holes. Also, hole 10 is home to a whole mess of water moccasins so steer clear of the pond on the left side of the fairway. I made the mistake of hitting one too close to the waters edge and saw some good sized snakes retreat to the water, which will give the nerves a good shot taking your stroke with you back to the waters edge. All in all I love the course. Obviously some landscaping needed but, when its finished Im sure its going to make it a beautiful course. They do good work on the greens, Id wager its professional quality. I have noticed on both Pecan Valley and Woodbine both greens play exceptionally well. Great quality.
Woodbine with the grands
Was able to get a round in walking with my two high school aged grandsons. They are new at the game so we were not moving fast and let a couple of vf groups in carts play through.
Being early in the season there are some large areas missing grass from last years storms where brush had accumulated and killed the grass. Hopefully these will fill in.
Always have had a good experience here.
Good day at Woodbine
Had two. We golfers with me so our pace was not great 4 hour round walking the course. We did let groups play through.
Due to the tree damage last year and the subsequent dead areas that resulted from downed trees and debris, there were lots of grass free areas that impacted play. Hopefully they will fill in soon. Always appreciate the course for its easy access and friendly staff.
Still not spring ready
Fairways still have a long way to go. Lots of dirt rather than grass.
So Disappointing
Played this course a lot pre-2000 and have a ton of memories. Yes, it's early March, but this course isn't worth playing until the fairways recover...many dead spots in the fairway. The city of Tulsa should be embarrassed by the conditions of our City owned courses. The amount of trash in the creeks, the conditions of the rough and fairways were rough. The bermuda greens were the slowest greens I've experience in 15 years. Hey Mayor, where are we on this? https://www.cityoftulsa.org/press-room/city-announces-renewed-commitment-to-municipal-golf-courses/
I won't be back until the City invests in golf.
Good for the money!
Not a bad course for the money. I paid 19 w a cart. Greens rolled true and were in good condition. Course was overall in sold condition beside some standing water from all the rain we have gotten recently.
Woodbine
Typical muni that is very under funded so maintenance is lacking. Is worth the trip if you can grab a hot deal off Golfnow.
Used to better
Course has really deteriorated since the last I played it. Bunkers missing sand, not raked and a lot of grass growing in them. This course used to be a great deal for the price. Now, it is just an average course for what you pay. Sad really. Was one of my favorites in the area.
Mohawk Park woodbine course
The course is in horrible shape. There were cracks in the fairways 2 1/2 inches wide. Looks like they scalped multiple different places mowing doesn’t look like it’s been watered in months. Very disappointing.
Excellent value
The course needs more water but with the temperatures reaching over a hundred degrees lately it’s hard to maintain it
