International Club of Myrtle Beach
Played On 10/19/2020Great value for the quality
First tee time so a little wet thru the first 5-6 holes. Monday in mid August and the course played quickly. Lots of rain two days early so it played long with not much roll out in the fairways. Five sets of tees giving multiple options for all levels of players. The rough is quality bermuda in most areas. I found it difficult to hit quality approach shots from the rough. Bunkers are like most I've played this year. Hard, no rakes and some standing water. I've seen this on many courses during this pandemic so not really a meant to be a poor comment for the course. Greens are tight bermuda and in very good shape. They hold well and provide consistent rolls. Probably rolling to a 10? if you want some speed comparison., I found the yardage book to be a little dated. Bag drop/starter was super organized and efficient. Again a great price for the high quality of the course. Would readily play again and recommend to others.

Played On 06/28/2020Sunday Morning Play
Played early Sunday morning with lots of dew on the ground. Pace was great, 4:05 walking with 2 others in carts. We were the third group out. Tee boxes were a little rough. Longer grass, but not fully covered. Many were very uneven but you can move around and tee the ball so not too much of a problem. Fairways were in good shape for this price course. Consistent lies in most of the fairways I played. Rough was healthy, even more difficult when wet. Bunkers were not raked and hard packed. With the Covid-19 conditions these were about average. Bent grass greens were delightful. Nice surprise. They were very uniform and you got a consistent roll. Probably rolling about an 8. Really held well on your approach shots so you could go right at the flag if you wanted. Not a lot of undulation and easy to read breaks. Only other comment would be to cut a pro path from the tees to the fairway. Fairly deep and wet grass for the walkers. It would speed up the walking pace. Nice course for the price.

Played On 01/02/2020Great Walking Course
Played on a beautiful Thursday in the new year. About 80 and sunny. Light winds. At the recommendation of the DofG I played the white (middle) tees. Walked with a push cart. Excellent layout for walking. Fairly short course (5850?) from the white tees. Back tees require some good knowledge of the course. Easy to drive thru the fairway. Only 3-4 driver holes. Most 3W or even a 7 iron off the tee on the 265y par four on the back. Be careful with too much club.
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Both Bermuda. Greens hold and roll well. Practice pitching from the southern Bermuda Grass if you're not used to it. Not a lot of undulation in the greens so easy to read putts. They roll true. Super value for the quality of the course.
Club at Hidden Creek, The
Played On 08/15/2017Extremely wet conditions
Good course for the GolfNow price. The fairways and greens were in very good shape. Lots of water on the course due to recent rain and local water company policy. Several lakes were over flowing into fairways. #8, par 5, was almost unplayable with a large lake 240 -300 yds off the tee. Then a 200 yard carry over water with only a cart path wide sliver of land to the right of the lake. As a Florida course it was draining well but still very soggy conditions throughout so we played ball in hand all day. Fairway rough and first cut around greens was thick with all the rain so a good challenge for most golfers. Greens were well maintained and consistent. Great value in dryer conditions. Staff was very professional, new Yamaha carts and a nice club house/locker room complex.
