This course was awesome. Not expensive, good layout and in fantastic condition. Greens are rolling fast, be careful!

When you drive 45 minutes to play a new course, you wonder at multiple points, "Is it worth it?"

The answer is yes for Eagle Dunes.

Fast, true greens in September in Orlando is no easy feat. But this course delivers. Dynamic routing allows you to hit every club in the bag. I do wish the par 5s were more reachable - they play long! And wide open fairways allow you to grip it and rip it.

Congrats on this gem north of Orlando!

This course is good value for winter in Florida. It's playable with a solid layout and some elevation, uncommon in Florida.

The greens look nice but roll very slow. Lies in the fairways are inconsistent.

With the elevation and dramatic routing, more markers should be in fairways so you know where to hit the ball off the tee. Some uphill holes play very long so tee it forward if you are in between yardages.

Prepare for madness. Teed off at 12:15 on a Saturday, finished my round at 6:05. Slow pace of play led to 3 groups waiting on each par 3 tee. Embarrassing! No rangers or staff at all to help.

As for the course, greens are on death's door. Patchy, weedy, brown. Ball does not roll true.

Not worth the drive from Orlando!
