White Heron Golf Club
Played On 04/13/2024Too Slow!
Pace of play was too slow - 9 holes in 2hrs 30min. and it only got slower. The staff was very accommodating and sent messages to carts and eventually the pro to tell a group to skip a hole and move on. Couldn’t enjoy or evaluate the course because of pace of play. The staff was accommodating the best they could. Off course amenities were nice.
Burning Ridge Golf Course
Played On 02/01/2024Nice Course
First play here, pace 3.5 hrs for 18 holes. Some hidden water was a little windy that effected some shots. Some small green mixed in, rolled nice but were soft from weather and had some dimpling from ball marks. Nice layout would play again. Staff friendly enough to keep their jobs.
The Wizard Golf Course
Played On 01/29/2024Foul weather play
Nice course, good layout, was challenging due to cold and windy weather.
Played twice two days apart. The greens held up nicely and rolled true with a little less break than expected. Cannot truly rate course due to conditions.
Oak Harbor Golf Club
Played On 03/29/2023Great greens, rough tee boxes
Check in straightforward, range balls are very old. The range is large with many hitting stations. The hitting stations are rough, they need to be filled and repositioned more frequently. Chipping and putting areas are both real nice. The practice bunker is very rough and basically not useable.
The course layout can be very challenging based on tee box selection and winds. Not a walking friendly course though. Lots of water to negotiate on course. Three of four par 3’s have carries over water - if you take the pin on. Some form of water comes in play on nearly every hole All the greens are maintained nicely.
Tee boxes are very rough! Some are so bad you’re looking to place your tee where footing is stable versus picking a shot shape. Course has obvious drainage issues and the maintenance staff is working to fix them. Bumpy Terrain on Hard packed areas that follow water drainage and cart traffic short cuts. Use caution when Driving across fairways lots of deep potholes, many are labeled but not all. Nearly every green side bunker has wet or packed sand.
No bev cart service, 19th hole lacking.
The review may read gloom but the course is really nice to play, staff is great don’t let this review deter you from playing this course.
Randolph Oaks Golf Course
Played On 03/12/2023Nice layout
Course would be a lot better if golfers would practice basic player responsibility and course etiquette. Specifically, on Greens fix ball marks and on Fairways fill divots, leave racks in bunker not 10’ outside of them.
No off course amenities to speak off.
The course is a bear when the winds are up. Makes it really challenging.
Oak Harbor Golf Club
Played On 11/07/2022Nice layout - good greens
Has nice practice area, full range, short game shots, large putting area. Friendly staff.
The course is not well defined specifically going to hike five and nine. Several tee boxes were bad, need to be filled and firmed up. The greens were nice and consistent. Water comes in play several times if you’re first time playing here pay attention when shaping ball. It’s dry so you’re going to get an unpredictable amount of runout.
All in all very nice facility.
Would recommend and play again.
Olympia Hills Golf Course
Played On 10/30/2022Great topography
Cool layout, lots of undulating fairways. A lot of elevation changes made strategy on some holes come into play. Deers on course were nice touch.
Cons: course is overplayed, pitch marks not repaired, fescue on greens prominent. Dirt bunkers with pebbles and rocks. Pace of play - very slow, annoyingly slow.

Played On 09/02/2017Going in Right Direction
Tees are rough, unequal and pitted. Need to be punched, leveled, filled, and top dressed.
Fairways are OK, rough is thick in spots requires golfers to pay attention to errant shots.
No cart services or water stations on course. The ONLY two are on holes 7 and 15 they're water fountains next to toilets.
Greens are bad in patches, overall 4-5/10 scale.
Staff is awesome, very nice and willing to please.
Pass Christian Isles Golf Club
Played On 05/27/2017Course on comeback trail.
Tees and greens and in the midst of much needed repair. Still a long way for full recovery.
Very nice clubhouse and friendly staff.
Will play again and recommend.
My father and I used to play this course a lot years ago. Glad it came back after the hurricane. Hope to play it again for old times sake.
Seminole Legacy Golf Club
Played On 04/14/2017Seminole First
Nice course, friendly staff, pace of play a little on the slow side. Had to wait on every tee box after 5th hole.
Course is in good condition and as challenging as you want to make it.
Greens were good and rolled around 10.
Will play again, and would recommend to others.
Great value.
Magnolia Plantation Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2017HIDDEN GEM NEEDING TLC
Pros: The course layout is challenging for all skill levels. Set up sort of penal (many greens guarded by water) so a lot of forced carries. Greens have undulation and character, some greens are small so your approach shot placement is a factor in scoring. The water is out of view from many teeing grounds, hit to far and water comes into play frequently.
Cons: Course maintenance is severely lacking, some of the other reviews indicate the specific needs. Noticed local kids driving on course with four-wheelers and private golf carts.
Opportunities: The lack of course play coupled with the lay-out would be a great place to bring junior golfers or beginners in the afternoon till closing. Additionally, might be a place to host a small tournament at a fair price.
I will play this course again, and would recommend with the caveat of the maintenance issue.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 07/09/2016Hot but nice
Great course, neat layout. Challenging yet fair.
It was very hot day, about 95 degrees with very little breeze for the most the part of the round.
Greens were nice and rolled with a little LESS break than you see and a little slower than you'd think.
Something to note: About 2:30 - 3:30 PM the cart girls came by and stated it was last call. Sort of odd to end that service so early in the day. The course has NO water holes on it anywhere. If you want to drink warm water there is a toilet area on the front nine and another on the back. Both have warm water drinking fountains.
St. Johns Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/10/2016St John's - the good one
There are two courses with same/similar names. This is the good one.
Great layout, great challenges, yet players of all skill can score here.
Liked the staff, the club the entire venue.
Assistant Pro Adam Taylor is a hands on go getter!! Call him for a lesson he'll get your game right.
Would recommend course to anyone.
Will play here again.
RedTail Golf Club
Played On 02/27/2016REDTAIL
Lucked out and played with three really great guys who were regulars at course. One was a Pro the others were college buddies of his. Very nice course with a lot of undulations and bunkers throughout the course. Some tight spots with thick junk to negotiate for those shots off the fairway. Greens had character as well. A very nice layout. If you play point to point golf you'll score well. If you get a little greedy and cut some corners you can get in trouble.
I've played this course several times now and would recommend. The bar and grill is a very nice venue with an excellent kitchen and bar staff.
Cobblestone Park Golf Club - Garnet Course
Played On 2/27/20133 Nine hole venue
Cart path only due to very soggy condition. Course has a lot of undulation and very hilly that made for a 5hr round. Will definitely return and play on a better day.
