Mansfield National Golf Club
Played On 02/03/2021Money grubbing
I needed to cancel or postpone my round to a later date. My wife was diagnosed with COVID 19 the night before the day of my tee time. I tried to do it using the Golfnow app but it said I had to call. I called and the recording said I had to do it online. I feel that I had a perfectly legitimate reason for canceling my round however Golfnow didn’t seem to think so. I have booked most all of my rounds with Golfnow but I believe that I’m through with them.
Cleburne Golf Links
Played On 10/11/2017Hawk's Creek Golf Club
Played On 05/29/2017The traps were all dirt and rocks, the greens were bumpy and hard, there was very little grass in the fairways and the tee boxes were firm and dome shaped. I played here 4-5 years ago and I'm not sure why I came back. I'll not make that mistake again. There are too many good courses to play for less money.
Mansfield National Golf Club
Played On 6/11/2013These grens are absolutely perfect
I last played this course about 16-18 months ago when it was in terrible shape. The fairways were sparse and the greens were not puttable. I played last night and it might be the best course, condition wise out of any public course in the metroplex, that I have played this year. I play 2-3 times a week and try to play all over north Texas and Mansfield National is as nice as any out there right now. It may very well be the best one for the money this month.
Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
Played On 5/30/2013This is a very old and very short course
This is a very old country club that has opened itself up to public play. The members are few and the funding reflects that but they do continue to keep it up. It's only about 6100 yards from the tips and has some fun holes. It has 5 par 3's and four par 5's. All of the greens are elevated and hard to hold. For the money it's well worth it.
Texas Rangers Golf Club
Played On 5/22/2013Their greens are very slow
This can be a very difficult course. There are some pretty tight tree lined fairways, a few crowned fairways and slow greens. The grass is sparse on some fairways and you can get some pretty iffy lies.
Cross Timbers Golf Course
Played On 9/23/2012On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 3-4 for metroplex courses.
The fairways are sparse. The greens hold but are hard and fast. The rough is dirt and rock.
bornheimc,
I'm sorry that our golf course conditions did not meet your expectations. It is always in our best interest to provide the best possible conditions to every golfer. I do want to mention we recognized conditions were not to our standards this weekend and that is why we provided everyone a discount to our Twilight Rates. Going forward we do plan to renovate the bunkers. This will start in October and we will remain open throughout the renovation process. As for the greens, they are about 80% healed and we anticipate a full recovery complete next week. Best wishes and happy golfing,
Hawks Creek Management
