For years I have despised timacuan because I felt their rates were way too high for the course conditions. With so many public golf courses to chose from in Orlando, I would almost always pass up timacuan to go play something better for less. I played with my father in law and brother in law for $35 a person and we had an awesome day. A little wet it low spots, but we had perfect weather (never broke 65F) and great pace of play. Will play again if they continue to appropriately price their rounds!

I’m an Orlando resident. I’ve played Omni, Disney’s, Celebration CC, LPGA, Eagles Creek, OC National... you name it, I’ve played it. BOLD STATEMENT - Hawks Landing was the best golf experience I’ve played in Orlando. Reasons - I finished 18 holes in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I teed off at 10 am and was home by 1 (I live 40 minutes away). COVID-19 allowed me to play for an EXTREMELY generous price and I literally didn’t run into a golfer until the 18th hole. The greens look like artificial turf, ABSOLUTELY IMPECCABLE! They hardly have divots in them, I’ve never seen such beautiful, well tended greens. It was incredible. Tee boxes were great, fairways were plush, bunkers were packed with thin sand that was easy to escape. The layout is challenging! It rewards great shots, and bad shots can recovered! I am willing to pay more than I did, and I will certainly return!

Due to COVID-19, course was wide open for our 3-some. Literally didn’t see another group our entire round. Beverage cart attendant Danielle is awesome and helped us throughout the day. Course is impeccable. Greens rolling about a 8.5-10 maybe.. which is a little slower than usual at E.C., but still true and consistent on all 18 holes. Fairways are green and plush, very few low/brown spots, tee-boxes are well-maintained. Layout is challenging but pretty open... you might add strokes, but you won’t lose balls. Finished my round with a chip in birdie on 17, and eagle hole out from 102 on 18.. best two-hole finish in my whole life.

First time playing this past Friday and I was blown away. Valet service upon arriving and a great pro shop with anything and everything you could need on a course. Comfy carts with gps, towels, and tees. Large, well-manicured putting/chipping area next to snack bar. Free range balls, large range but hit from mats. 2 starters and a ranger but pace of play was still a little slow. 7:45 start time, finished at 11:15. It wasn’t a long round, but we had to wait on just about every tee box and some fairways for a 2-some in front of our 3-some. Kind of annoying. Fairways are large and lush, with water and woods lining them. No direct shots over water though. Greens were deceivingly slow, but very consistent - which is what really matters. I shot 9 over on the front (a little worse than average) and was even on the back through 17 and then 3 putt double bogey’d the last hole Hard way to finish an otherwise incredible back 9. It was a great day and I’ll absolutely be back.

Timacuan was very vanilla to me. Aside from a few holes with undulation, this was a pretty average central Florida public course. Water on a lot of holes, but rarely actually comes into play, which is nice. Tee boxes were a little beat up, but no big deal! Fairways were green, greens we rolling consistent, not slow but not as fast as I’m used to. Cosmetically appealing for the most part. I think the rate is priced about $10 too high, for the price they charge I can spend an extra $10 and head to Celebration or Eagle Creek.

The title says it all, well worth the round, will be back

I don't typically write reviews, but this course deserves the extra attention. It's a hidden Gem in central Florida, I've played over 20 courses this year alone and I fell in love with Debarry CC. Greens roll fast and true, tons of hills and undulation, super green and wide fairways, decently forgiving course. Bunkers could use some attention, but I wasn't in them very much ;)

You won't find much better in central Florida, especially for the rate I paid on a hot deal. 2 negatives: cart path only with gps carts made the already slow pace of play that much more intolerable, and having people in front of you/behind you all day should be expected. Other than that, this course is absolutely gorgeous, will make any golfers day.

When reviewing a course I weigh out the condition of the course with the price I paid. This course absolutely lived up to the hype. Great conditions, plush fairways, spongy/fast greens, well-maintained bunkers, challenging layout. At the turn, the staff provides you with cold, lavender-scented towels. Incredible round for what I paid. If the gentleman in the pro shop was as friendly as the rest of the staff, Falcons fire would've been any easy 5 star review, aside from that the experience was extremely pleasant.
