The Summit at Shanty Creek

Greens were fast, but true, and they held. Bunkers have a lot of rocks, and some are poorly designed so that the ball rolls down against the lip. It is a good idea not to hit into them.

Played On 2/17/2013WE only had time to play nine, but it was fine.
I am not used to playing on a Sunday, and it was slow. But the course is in good shape.
Wild Wings Golf Club

the fairways are yellow, but a good deal for the money

A major feature of this course is the prevailing wind. The weather report sait 10 miles, but I think it was closer to 20. Be prepared

We played on a perfect October day. The course was not busy and we had time to really enjoy ourselves. Put this on your "must play" list.

This is part of a 4 course complex - the Summit is the cheapest to play, but still worth the time.
A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort - Antrim Dells Course
Played On 8/20/2012Antrim Dells has two different 9s, the front is more open and the back is wooded.
Antrim is a favorite of locals and yearly visitors. The course is a challenge, but is not too hard for the novice. The new staff - part of Agaming has done a good job keeping the good points while adding some improvements.
Hawk's Eye at Shanty Creek
Played On 7/29/2012This is one of the most beautiful courses in Northern Michigan. Every hole is a treat for the eyes.
I try to bring my golfing guests to play Hawkeye because of it sheer beauty. Everyone should play it if they have a chance.
