Longbow Golf Club
Played On 06/10/2017Slow round
Myself and three others played on June 10th. It took us 5.5 hours to play 18. There is minimal water on the course to drink (fountains at hole 8 & 15). They give you two 12 oz water bottles at the start of your round but that only gets you through maybe 2-3 holes when it's over 100 degrees. We didn't see the cart girl until hole 7. At hole 6 we were the third group backed up waiting to tee off. It took about 20 mins before we finally got on the box to tee off. The greens had been punched I would say no more then a week prior to us playing, we were unaware of this before teeing off and wouldn't have played here had we known. The tee boxes had no green grass on them and were very hard, some tee boxes it was a struggle just to find a spot soft enough to put a tee all the way in for an iron off the box. Overall the course was not in great shape. I was disappointed as I've played this course a few times and have always enjoyed it. To my memory it was always one of the better summer courses in phoenix. It doesn't seem to be that way any longer.
