Wildwood Country Club
Played On 08/14/2021Given up hope.
Wildwood is in disrepair. Seems like every time I play, it is in even worse shape. The other day, there was so much sand on the greens you couldn't even putt. The fairways are at least looking halfway decent now, but it's at the expense of the tee boxes and the greens. This is a $10 course at best, yet management still charges $30+ during the week.
The only hope this course has is for a new owner/manager to come in and really put some money into it.
Windswept Dunes Golf Course
Played On 08/06/2021Great course but maybe a little overpriced.
This course is awesome. Every part of it is in great shape. Layout is pretty good. However, I don't feel like it is a $95 course. At that rate, I would expect a nice clubhouse and better amenities. And please, you could at least include range balls. Twilight tee times are not much cheaper than full price.
I will give credit to them for having a ranger who actually does his job!
St. Joseph Bay Golf Club
Played On 03/16/2021Overpriced and Slow
Tees off before lunch on a Tuesday. Took over 2 hours to play 8 holes. Ended up jumping back to number 2 and playing the front again. Tee boxes and in incredibly poor shape. No flat lies to be found. Fairways were actually decent, and the greens were mostly sand but rolled true. For the price ($40), it is way overpriced. Layout is also very plain.
St. James Bay Golf Club
Played On 10/04/2020Conditions are headed downhill...
I play this course several times a year. Lately, the conditions have really gone downhill. This course used to always be in pristine shape, from tee to green. The past year or so the tee boxes and fairways have developed bare spots, and I have yet to see any maintenance staff working to improve. Also, I guess they gave up on cutting down the brush in the forced carries. There are several holes where you can barely see the pin anymore looking over. They used to keep this trimmed down and looking nice. Now it looks like they just don't want to bother going in the swamp to cut anything.
Course is still in a beautiful setting. However, they removed themselves from GolfNow and no longer offer any deal times. At $70 on the weekend, this course is overpriced for the condition it is in currently.
Wildwood Country Club
Played On 10/01/20203 years and no improvement.
Wildwood has been re-opened for quite some time now. The course shows no signs of improved conditions. All the greens are in poor shape, and the fairways and tee boxes aren't much better. The sand in the bunkers has been there since 1992. This is a $15 course, but it costs twice that , DURING THE WEEK. I wish they would focus more on improving the conditions of the course than the RV park.
Seminole Legacy Golf Club
Played On 10/01/2020Overpriced for such an average layout.
Course is now private, but you can play it as a member of the public for a scorching rate of $125. Let me just say, this course is NOT WORTH $125. I would play it again, but for no more than $50. The greens are fast and tricky. The course is in perfect condition, but it was always in great shape, even when it was public. The holes are all decent, but none really have any character. It just isn't a memorable course. I was really expecting a lot more from Mr. Nicklaus and the re-design. I left feeling disappointed in the new layout, and frankly, ripped off.

Favorite course in the area. Always in great shape. Never too busy early on a weekday. Old course with lots of character.
St. James Bay Golf Club
Played On 03/17/2020Headed downhill?
Course has seemed to be trending down last year or so. GPS removed from carts. App no longer supported. Range balls no longer included. No more coolers on carts or cool towels provided. New ownership seems to really be cutting costs.
Grass in fairways disappearing (not dormant, I’m aware of the difference). Even some greens are getting bare in spots.
Overall, still a great course. I would not spend $50+ to play it, but $35 is a good deal. I would recommend that more emphasis be put on maintenance and bringing the GPS units back. They are sorely needed on a course like this.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 12/01/2019Great course.
Chose this course because of the good reviews and the fact that it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando that I hoped it wouldn't be crazy crowded and slow. What a great choice. Got out early (7am) as a two-some. Two groups in front and we finished in 3 hrs. Course is in great condition. Greens were firm but held well and putts rolled true. Back 9 was definitely more enjoyable as it was through the woods rather than the neighborhood. Not saying the front wasn't great, courses in the woods are just more my style. Will definitely play again when back in the area!
West at Bull Creek Golf Course
Played On 11/22/2019Great course.
Had a great time. First time playing and staff was very friendly. Course was busy on the front, but the wait wasn't bad. Cleared up on the back 9 and we never had to wait on anyone. Saw multiple deer walking the fairways and in the woods. Course has a lot of elevation changes which I loved. Tees, fairways, and greens all in great condition. Couldn't read the greens to save my life! Rolled very true though. Would play again when back in the area.
Thank you for playing Bull Creek! We work to keep pace of play at 4 hours per round.
Your time is valuable. We appreciate your choice to play Bull Creek.
See you soon,
Wildwood Country Club

Tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, greens - all in below average to poor condition. Course management does not seem interested in improving the conditions of the course, just their RV park. Green fees are way too high for the condition of this course. They also allow groups of 6+ to play. If this course wasn't 5 minutes from my house, I would never play here. Better value and much better conditions can be found at any of the other area courses.
Management cares about the golf course. We have been promised for 5 years to get water from our county. We went through a drought that started September 2, 2019. We are now getting rain and golf course is very nice. Reviews from others see it differently. Our staff gets many compliments. We do not allow 6 people in a group. Sorry you had a bad experience, but Wildwood is doing well and it’s due to more play..
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 08/03/2019Great course. Well managed.
We had an early (7am) tee time. There was a large group (tournament) going off shotgun at 7:30. I was not told about this when I booked my tee time and was very worried I would get caught behind the tournament and be in for a dreadfully slow round. Thankfully, the course staff started the tournament groups off far enough ahead where we never came close to catching any of them. Hats off to the course staff for ensuring the tournament play did not affect the early groups. Will be back again!
Lake View at Callaway Gardens Resort
Played On 11/17/2018No water coolers, no drink cart service.
This was my third year playing the Lake View. A fun course that presents less of a challenge than the Mountain View, but still has some fun and challenging holes. The are had received a ton of rain before we arrived, so the course was cart path only. The fairways and tee boxes were wet, but not so much that it affected play. Greens were firm and rolled true. My one big complain is that there were ZERO water coolers on the course, and we never saw a drink cart. $60+ dollars was a little steep to not offer any water at all on the course.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 11/10/2018Great alternative to El Campeon on busy days.
We had played El Campeon the day before, and came out to play it again on Saturday. When it was our time to head to the tee box, there were two foursomes waiting to see off, a foursome waiting to hit their second, and a foursome on the green on number 1. Starter said we could jump over to Las Colinas, and I am glad we did. Pace of play was much better, and the course was in just as good of shape as El Campeon. Colinas doesn't have the character or the dramatic elevation changes, but it was still a fun course. I would definitely choose to play Campeon over Colinas most days, but at peak times this is a great alternative.
Thanks for the 5-stars and great feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed your recent round with us at Mission Inn Resort & Club. Join us again soon!
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 11/09/2018Amazing Course, Inattentive Cart Staff
First off, this course is amazing. You won't find another one like it. The layout is unique, with elevation changes on almost every hole. The course was also in absolutely perfect shape. Beautiful tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens.
The cart staff, however, is not what you would expect at a course like this. No one offered to help us with our bags, or bring us a cart, or direct us to the starter, or anything like that. But hey, I would rather not have to tip them anyway.
Was also a good value with a deal tee time of $39.
Golf Club At South Hampton
Played On 09/02/2018Great day of golf on a great course.
Teed off early. One or two groups in front of us. Spacing was great. Never had to wait on the group in front and the group behind us never had to wait on us. Wish other courses would space out groups like they do. Course was in great shape from tee to green. The layout doesn't have as much character as other courses I have played but this did have some neat holes. Most were pretty open allowing you to grip it and rip it off the tee. I would definitely play here again.
Palm Harbor Golf Club
Played On 09/01/2018Great day
Course was in great shape. Tees, fairways, and greens were all near perfect. Requires good shots and precise placement. Some nice holes. Group in front us liked to play cart golf but they didn’t slow us down too much. Would play here again.
SouthWood Golf Club
Played On 07/26/2018Perfect Conditions - THICK Rough
Southwood is in great shape right not. But I think they are prepping for the US Open to be held here next year, as the rough is stinkin THICK. Lost a couple balls that didn’t miss the fairway by much. With fast soft greens and thick rough the course is playing tough.
Seminole Legacy Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2018Perfect Condition. SLOW pace of play.
Seminole is in perfect condition right now. However, they continue to have the slowest pace of play of any course I have ever seen. No one knows how to play ready golf, and no one lets you play through. I have never once seen a marshal at this place, and golly do they need one. We were behind a group of young female golfers for the last few holes, and they were more concerned with taking selfies and talking than they were with actually playing golf.
Thank you for playing a round with us. We agree, this course definitely needs a GPS to play and we have plans to bring those back on our brand new golf carts which are supposed to be delivered sometime in July. We still have the coolers, they are just in the restaurant. We also have a new Super and he has made great progress on our fairways and tee boxes. We would love for you to come see for yourself.
