I visit my friend every year to play some golf and this is my favorite of all the courses we have played. Great shape, fair but very challenging. Some blind shots over tall water reeds. Just a real fun course out in the middle of farm fields so there are not a ton of houses and cars going by. A must play. Will go there every time I am back.

Very straight forward design but still a challenge. Course penalized you if you got off the fairway. Condition was very good.

It was cart path only which detracted some from the experience but it was a nice course. Greens were quite slow though.

Unfortunately we played on a day where there was almost 50 mile an hour winds where the balls wouldn't stay in place on some of the greens which made the course that much more difficult because of BY FAR more sand traps than any course I have played. I have played all the Open course in Scotland and some great ones in US and this is easily the coolest, most beautiful clubhouse (or spanish village which is what it felt like) than any of them. Unbelievable detail from the buildings to the stone cart paths to the water fountains along the paths. Really awesome. The only bad thing is it can be confusing where you need to go when you get amonst the "village." Don't let that discourage you, someone will eventually lead the way for you. The employees were very nice. The course was fair with no water hazards. Don't play it if you don't like sand traps but if not a must play.

The course was a fairly flat generic layout on front and a few holes on back but the greens were in very good shape for Florida and the quarry holes are really beautiful and neat to play. Very worth the price.

It rained hard the entire night before we played so the course was wet and the greens were slow and a little shaggy but I will give the course a pass because there was no way they could have cut them. Nice layout and in good shape otherwise and for the $25.00 we paid it was very well worth it.

Greens are some of the best I've played on in Central Florida. Nice layout, many challenging holes and with hot deal price almost like stealing to play such a nice course.

We played the Cypress course and the staff was friendly, the layout was challenging considering you really have to hit the ball straight, pace of play was pretty slow, waited a lot on front and opened up some on the back, but the condition was not as great as the reviews. I think Golfnow needs to separate the two course reviews for Stonegate because I'm guessing the Oaks is in better shape. The Cypress greens were pretty long and bumpy although that didn't affect the speed too much. Overall for the $27.00 we paid it was a good deal and if the greens were in better condition it would be a great deal.
