Currently, the course has just punched the greens and they are over sanded pretty heavily. The fairways are a little spotty and as usual, real hard.

Great course and we got a good deal. Unfortunately, the wind was angry this day which made a few of the holes downright unfair, but that's the breaks.

The Links course is both scenic and challenging. Like a lot of Arizona courses, they could let the rough grow a tad especially in front of hazards. A couple of the greens were less than perfect, but overall the course is in great shape.

Painted Mountain is a short, decent golf course that is in better shape this year than in years past. It is over priced and typically heavily booked. I only play it a couple of times a year when my out laws come to town for a couple months. In years past you could count on being 1/2 hour or more late starting. This trip wasn't bad as far as the starting time although we ran into a brick wall around the 13 hole and the last 5 holes took almost as long to play as the first 13.

I've played Cave Creek occasionally for a few years now. From a mess, this course is making a lot of improvements. The greens are fast with lots of undulations. The fairways are average and the rough is too short for the rolling fairways. Balls hit off or that run into the short rough will run a long, long way. There were 2 tournaments playing behind us so the pins were Sunday plus difficulty.

I've played all 3 - 9"s recently. The greens on the Squire and the Hawk tend to be slow to moderate. The greens on the King are much faster and really too hard for the layout. Overall, this course gets a lot of play and holds up fairly well for the pounding it takes.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating..

Club West is a unique and challenging golf course. Way above average scenery and really nice greens although the mountain effect can really bite you.
