I always check the stated dress code for the course before leaving. On GolfNow for Ventura it says that “denim is ok”. So because it was a cool day, and we wanted to be comfortable, we all wore jeans and collared golf shirts. Upon entering the pro shop, we were told to go home unless we had rain pants to put over our jeans. We were halfway to our car when they came running out of the pro shop to tell us we could play. They checked the website and were shocked to see that denim was allowed. They said they had sent other groups home that day for wearing jeans. Anyway, we enjoyed the golf because we were on vacation, and weren’t going to let some uptight pro shop employees ruin our day.
