Scholl Canyon Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 05/14/2014Good executive course. Surprisingly nice views.
I play Scholl pretty often. As long as the pace is decent, you can finish this course in 3 hours, which is nice if you don't have a full day to play golf. It's not a scenic course by any stretch, but the views of the city on the back nine are some of the best you can find.
Definitely a few challenging holes, but overall this is an easygoing course. Most of the par 4's are shorter, with risk/reward tee shots. The par 3's are a mixed bag. A lot of wedges off the tee. Bring your friends, drink a few beers, have fun!
Ojai Valley Inn
Played On 04/05/2014All around fantastic experience. Make a weekend out of it.
This resort is an overall gem. Very relaxed and beautiful. Can't wait to get back.
The course is pretty challenging but well-balanced. Truly picturesque. Rolling hills, mountain views. Feels like a day in nature.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's nice that practice range is included in your round. The range itself is very well maintained. All grass, no mats.
There are several restaurants on the resort, but the pub near the golf course is fantastic. They've got a great patio, top-notch food and drinks.
Eighteen Hole at Van Nuys Golf Course
Played On 03/26/2014Certainly worth the price
Good way to kill an hour and get a litte practice. Got a hot deal for $3 to play this 9-hole executive. You tee off of a mat, so you get the idea of what kind of course this is. Decent practice for chipping and putting. There are 3 par-4 holes and they are all strangely in a row...all super short. 280 yds or so. Decent practice areas for chipping/putting.
Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
Played On 03/11/2014Great Value. Fun, easy course.
Definitely recommend this course to any beginner/intermediate players. A few opportunities to use the driver but there are lots of short, fun par 4's so you will get a lot of iron practice.
