Mallard Golf Club
Played On 04/28/2023Nice option
The casino courses are highly rated but Mallard is every bit as. Good and a better value
Galleon/Brigantine at Shipyard Golf Club
Played On 06/03/2022Choices
More choices make it better! 27 holes means picking two out of three nines for your round. All the fairways were well cut and every green was flawless (not easy, just flawless. Trees on every hole and sand around most greens make it challenging. Fun!
So glad to hear you you found Shipyard fun and challenging!
Coyote Springs Golf Club
Played On 09/24/2020Desert golf at it best
We started at noon so shouldn’t complain about the heat but it was HOT! Not an easy course at all but fair and fun. Well groomed, greens are tough but nice
Roy Kizer Golf Course
Played On 10/09/2019Good Times
The course was in great shape, plenty of roll if you stay on the mostly wide fairways, beautiful big greens. Some obstacles (water, high grass) but usually a way out. I prefer Roy Kizer over Jimmy Clay (dame location)
Blue Springs Country Club
Played On 05/14/2019Mushy fairways
Although the weather was great, the course was still soaked from recent heavy rains....made golf difficult!
The Phoenician Golf Club
Played On 04/11/2019As Good as it Gets
After having lunch at the Tavern just above the Phoenician’s putting green and first hole, I convinced my wife that I had to golf there. Next day I did. The entire course was in fantastic shape, from the tee boxes, the fairways and onto the greens. The greens were fast and difficult but fair. The bouganvilias were in full bloom adding to the beauty of the course. The staff was friendly and helpful. I’ve been lucky to have golfed several times at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas and Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Nevada and now rank The Phoenician right up there with them!
Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course
Played On 04/23/2018Wait to Play
The bad news is that the greens are bad, the fairways rough but the good news is that new owners intend big improvements.
Bear's Best Las Vegas
Played On 10/24/2017A Challenge
Three of us golfed at Bear’s Best, teeing off at noon for around $107 (golf now). The 85 degrees was no problem but the sand traps surrounding most greens were! Unfortunately we were greatly slowed by a foursome who never acknowledged us and, when we finally asked to play through, acted like they were offended. Only saw the Marshall once.
The Grand Bear Golf Course
Played On 10/12/2017Best Shape Ever
Wet from last evening’s heavy rain but greens were perfect, fairways good. Cart path only because of the water but worth it.
