Played On 06/13/2018Great course/bad luck
Due to recent torrential rains, Willow Metro Park Golf Course had several areas of water damage. But the damaged areas did not affect the fun of playing this course. And I’m sure this great layout will return to A-1 shape soon.
Every club in the bag is used when you play Willow.

Played On 05/07/2018Great design but...
Country Club of Newberry had a great layout but the course was in need of some TLC—tender loving care.
No difference between rough and fairway. Crabgrass everywhere.
Brae Burn Golf Club
Played On 09/12/2017True test of golf.
I've played Brae Burn many times over the past twenty years and always found it challenging and enjoyable. Some greens and tee boxes were being aerated, sanded and brushed. Wish I would have known that ahead of time. Probably would have waited until the following week to play.
Whispering Willows

For a city course that gets a lot of play, Whispering Willows is in great shape.
Lake Forest Golf Club

Lake Forest is well worth playing again and again.
Taylor Meadows Golf Club
Played On 05/31/2017This course had slow, slow play
Greens were in relatively good shape. But pace of play was slow. Fixed several ball marks each green. There were two temporary greens on back nine; only one was noted beforehand.
Inkster Valley Golf Club
Played On 05/19/2017Brae Burn Golf Club
Played On 05/15/2017Fairways and rough were overflowing with clippings, the rough especially. It had been cut several days previously because the clippings were dried out. Looked like straw in many areas. Long straw. This excess of clippings made it easy to lose balls even in the first cut. Worse than dealing with leaves in the fall. Disappointing.
