Hands down, best course in the area you can play via GolfNow. Outstanding condition and course.
Riverwood Golf Club
Played On 06/23/2017Amazing value for the money and great course overall
To be fair, the rain we've experienced around here in the few weeks prior to playing was ridiculous... so while I'm not certain it's fair to knock a star off course conditions for that reason, that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Just a bit too mushy in a lot of spots (do NOT catch the turf behind your ball or you're going to chunk it bad... no room for error here at the moment), plus some tee box maintenance taking place while we were there. I had some friends in town on vacation and we played Riverwood a few times while they were here. We all loved the course and it's in far better condition than the others in the area we played. Plays challenging until you get a hang of where you need to be and where to avoid, and overall provides a true Florida golf experience. The best feedback I can give you is that the staff is incredible. From the club pro, Bob, personally going out of his way to find a Thermos water bottle left behind in a cart the previous day, to a maintenance guy who chatted us up at the turn and gave some pointers on the greens for the back nine, to the cart guys in the lot and marshalls on the course... you are truly treated like invited guests on this course and in the clubhouse, even at a discounted GolfNow rate. Highly recommend!
Rhodes Ranch Country Club
Played On 02/11/2015Great day of golf, would have paid more.
Played Rhodes Ranch at the recommendation of an acquaintance local to Vegas. Was very impressed. Great facilities, course was in great shape, minus a few greens that were a bit bumpy (hey, it's February).
Read other reviews that said the staff was a bit snippy? Not even a little. Pro shop staff was extremely welcoming, starter was hilarious and the few maintenance guys we encountered on the course were super polite and shut down equipment as you played thru. Bartender also was super friendly.
Our green fees included two beers (or waters) which was a nice surprise. Only knock here is they were draught, which is ok but we got them at the turn so a plastic cup with a lid for the second beer was a bit challenging to maneuver on the back nine.
Overall great experience, worth every penny (worth more actually). Great course to play if you're in from out of town. Bout a 25 minute cab ride from the strip... Others will seem closer, but trust me, we've played those too and they're not worth paying more for the location compared to Rhodes Ranch.
