The starter at Las Sendas, LOVES his job. He asked if our group had played here before, and after our group’s reply that 2 of us had, he proceeded to give us a long, condescending, tutorial of what is expected of us (non members) on the course. This took us a bit past our tee time.
On hole #5, a ranger informs us that we are behind pace, and next time he sees us, we will need to skip forward. We never saw the group behind us, and made the turn in exactly 2hrs. Never saw the ranger again, and walked of the 18th green at 3hrs 55min.

Except for the frost delay, a great day was had at The Golf Club at Johnson Ranch. Pace of play was good. Starter pushed groups out, after approx.. 1hr frost delay. Only complaint would be that there is no beverage cart.

Nice course, very scenic, reasonably priced, for high season.

Played 10/26/18. Course was in beautiful shape, after recent re-seed. Fairways were in great shape, greens were still a little slow, but were in good shape. Pace of play was good, considering it was still, cart path only. Finished just under 4hrs. Hopefully we’ll get back out, before high season rates kick in.

The course was in excellent condition. Even with the recent high temperatures, and lack of rain, fairways, greens, tee boxes, even rough was green, and soft. All staff encountered, were friendly, and accommodating. Starter even got our group off early. Pace of play was acceptable, finishing right at 4 hours. I highly recommend playing here.

This course was the greenest, most well manicured course I've played in months. Although not actually a "mountain course", almost every hole has an elevation change, and gorgeous mountain views on every hole. I can't wait to play Desert Canyon again, and would highly, recommend, booking a tee time!

I've found that Johnson Ranch continues to have affordable green fees, compared to other valley courses, especially during high season. I don't understand why Johnson Ranch charges a $2.99 "convienence" fee on all on-line bookings, but the Mountain/Valley layout is a pleasure to play. I normally play here weekly, while "snowbirding" over the winter.
