Played Western Skies for the first time and was very impressed. First of all the staff were great. The course was in very good condition. Very walkable if you want some exercise. Bunkers were better than average and the greens were very good. Most greens had very little if any break. Very good warm up facilities as well. A course that I will return to again. Don't know why I waited so long to play there. Great value. Played in 3:45! Great pace.

Played Saddlebrooke on a sunny but very windy day. The course is in great shape and the greens are fast. Bunkers in very good shape as well. Good challange and great scenery. The $30.00 green fee was a no brainer

Played Lone Tree November 13 on a perfect day. The course is in excellent shape after the over seeding. Back to regular cart rules. The greens are in great shape, the fastest I have played so far. Bunkers are good, tee boxes and fairways are in great shape. The staff is always first rate. Quite simply a pleasure to play. Got a rate of $60.00 which is a steal compared to its competition. Love the course.

Played San Tan Highlands the other day. Although the name has changed its still Johnson Ranch. The pace of play was terrible, 4:45 for the round. Only saw the cart girl and the ranger once. Tee boxes need work as none are level. Greens are slow and still no sand in the bunkers. This could be a great course but changing the name is like changing the colour of lipstick on a pig. Too bad.

I live in the Johnson Ranch community and have played the course numerous times. In the twelve years I have played there, I have never seen it in better shape. The course is lush. The fairways and greens are in great shape albeit there are still ball marks on the greens that go unrepaired. The bunkers are so so. My only remark to the downside is the pace of play. Five hour rounds are common and not much fun.

Played Saddlebrook Ranch for the first time this year and found the course to be in really good shape. I had read some comments about them painting the fairways etc. but the grass is starting to grow in. Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape and the greens are very good for the time of year. The bunkers are in excellent shape with just the right amount of sand. Got a Hot Deal for $39.00 which is excellent. I always enjoy this course and the staff are very friendly. If you are anywhere near Oro Valley check it out.

Played Sunbird on March 13/23. The weather was great and found the course to be in pretty good shape. Greens were very slow as compared to last month. Some of the bunkers need some help as a few were very hard but that seems to be typical at a lot of courses in the area. Easy shorter course but a great walk and the pace is always good.

The course is is pretty good shape. Fairways and tee boxes are good and the greens were in very good shape. The greens have a lot of contour to them and the speed was consistent. Unlike a lot of courses in the Valley, the bunkers at The Duke actually have sand in them! Nice to see.
It is an enjoyable course to play and the pace is always good.

Played Power Ranch for the first time this year. The tees and fairways are in excellent shape. The bunkers, like most Valley courses, lack sand. The greens were a bit on the bumpy side as no one is fixing ball marks. We had a 45 minute frost delay. Instead of a 1:16pm start we were bumped back to 1:58 but still got the round in. The starter was excellent and really stayed on top of getting groups out onto the course.

I always enjoy playing Robson Ranch. The course is in good shape although the greens are pretty firm and its hard to stop a ball. My only complaint was the Marshall. Due to the wind several groups cancelled. When we got there I spoke with the starter who said the course was "wide open" and we could go anytime. My wife and I hit a large bucket of balls to warm up and never saw anybody leave the first tee. While on the course the Marshall came by and told us to speed up and catch the group in front of us. Long story short. When we did get up to the group in front of us to our amazement it was a twosome, each with their own private cart! Obviously no communication between the starter and the Marshall. Hard for a foursome to catch two guys in their own carts. Really. Some one needs a lesson on Marshalling!

I have played Francisco Grande many times and like the layout of the course. On this day we arrived to be told the halfway house was not opened. There had been a frost delay and we ended up teeing off only 10 minutes past our scheduled tee time. There is never a marshall at this course and they could use one. There were golfers driving across tees and across par 3 holes that should be cart path only. Ball marks galore, no rakes for bunkers etc. This could be a very good course but they need to control the traffic from golf carts, rope off some areas to keep carts away and get it to the condition it should be in. It is a shame its is not in better condition. Don't know when I will try it again.

I played Mission Royale about 10 years ago and promised myself I would never go back. It was a disaster with grass. Played there the other day as I had read the reviews and they sounded pretty good over all. I was impressed with the difference in the course and its condition. The course has been purchased by the home owners in the development and they are in the process of getting the course up to a more well conditioned layout. The bunkers are still bad but they are in the process of being rebuilt. The fairways are good but the rough is dormant Bermuda with some bare spots. The greens were a bit bumpy but more than playable. Give this course a few years and it will be a hidden gem. By the way the staff are first class and very welcoming. I will go back for sure!

The course is now in very good shape. The over seed has really come in and the course is lush. Greens were very good but there were plenty of ball marks. The course marshall should be tasked with fixing some ball marks given the opportunity. The practice range is a little on the ratty side. The bunkers are average. This course is good value considering the prices some courses are asking right now.

Played Sunbird for the first time on Monday. I had read the reviews on the course and was interested in seeing it for myself. The course is in very good shape. The greens are on the slow side right now. The bunkers were in good shape. Pace of play was great and the staff were very helpful. While it is a short course, it is a great spot for a tune up. It was our first round since arriving in Arizona for the winter. Easy course to walk which is what I would do next time there. I would go back if the price was right. No complaints here!

Played The Duke for the first time and I was very impressed. The staff at check-in were excellent. The facility has an excellent practice area and range. We teed off on time and the pace of play was very good finishing our round in just over 4 hours. Like any course in Arizona the bunkers are just alright. The greens were fast and have a lot of undulation. Took me nine holes to figure them out. The course has some very challenging holes and the homes around the course are far enough away so that you don't feel like you are playing through a subdivision. I will return often. If you have not played the course check it out!

I have golfed at Arizona Golf Resort numerous times over the last 12 years while spending my winters in the Phoenix area. The course is in the worst condition I have ever seen it. The fairways have not been watered and are mostly hardpan, the greens are a mess and very slow and the tee boxes are a mess for the most part. It is a shame to see this course in the state it is. I had heard that 'new owners' were going to put some money into the course but sadly that has not happened. It could be a real gem but it looks to me like it waiting to be turned into a housing development, Save your money and go elsewhere. Arizona Golf Resort is a BIG disappointment.

Played this course for the third time this year and there is some improvement each time we play there. It's a great layout with some very interesting holes and some undulation. The par three's are all pretty good. The fairways are a bit spotty and the greens have some patches but it has dried out from what it was a few weeks ago. There are lots of gopher holes. Lost a ball in one this round! For the price this time of year its a good deal. Hope they keep up the improvements.

This was the second time playing this course this winter. Both times there have been wet areas in the fairways while other spots are bone dry. The greens are spotty with some being very good and others on the ratty side. It is a very nice layout and with some TLC and water in the right places could be great. With golf being priced very high in the Phoenix area at this time of year the course is a deal.

I have played this course several times and each time I see improvement. It is a very nice layout with some really good holes. It is a little bit more undulating than a lot of Arizona courses. The fairways and tee boxes are in god condition. There are a few very wet spots on the course so maybe a sprinkler adjustment might be the key. The greens were fine for the most part but there was some areas that were bare. The bunkers were also pretty good with just the right amount of sand.

The halfway house was open and the service was very good. The starters were both very friendly and kept things organized and running on time. It's a very good deal overall. Check it out.

I have played Johnson Ranch numerous times and love the layout. The course is just recently returned from the .The course has grown in nicely from the over seeding. The greens are still slow. The tee boxed and fairways were in great shape. No beverage cart through the week.
Pace of play was alright that day but the course does get slow at times.
