I have played the course for years and the work they have done on this course the last few years is really paying off. The greens were as good as any course i have played in the last 365 days. Sure the course has some drainage issues but that would not prevent me from playing here. The fairways are green, the tees are full with grass and the greens as mentioned were top notch. Sure this course is not Peeble Beach but for the price i would have no issue with this course. One of my fellow playing partners was a private country club kid who said he would love to come back and play.

First time playing here. The greens had been top dressed not long before playing the course. Was not an issue with me because I know it is a good thing long term. One of the fairways was being punched the day I played but again not an issue, I was in the rough anyway. Good much of long and short holes. The par threes were great though a couple of the par fives would take a little getting used to. The pace of play was fine. I played as a single and took my time. Total round was just under four hours. The highlight of this course for me was the green complexes. These greens were awesome though frustrating at times. A little local knowledge would have helped. The rough was fierce to say the least. Not really sure the rough is always as long as it was the day I played but it added an additional challenge on wayward shots. Long story short I can't wait to play it again.

I have heard the legend of this little nine hole course designed by Donald Ross before and was looking forward to playing the course and seeing for myself what all the talk was about. Well boys and girls i can tell you that the legend is not legend it is a fact. This little nine hole gem was in perfect condition. The greens were fast and smooth, tee boxes flawless and the rough and fairways could not have been nicer. Great opening hole and very difficult finishing hole. the seven holes in between offer a true thinking mans approach to the course. The course was not very tight but the dense rough was a half shot penalty on most holes. If you venture down to this course keep it in the fairway and hope that your putter is working. Very much looking forward to heading back down for another round in the near future. The only downside to this course if that i don't live closer, if this course was within 25 minute of my house i would have been asking for an application for membership before i had left the property. Kudos to the staff, they were friendly and professional. Met the course super while playing, friendly guy who had no problem stopping and talking about the course for a few minutes. The pro was very welcoming as well and shared about the course history. If you get the chance book a tee time.
