Southwyck Golf Club
Played On 05/24/2020Greens need some work
Overall course was in decent shape, yet I must say that the greens were not in good shape. The greens were very spotty with some type of bacteria in spot of all the greens. Also the greens were slow in speed, it was like they haven't been cut in days. Overall the course needed some water as well. I was aspecting the course to be in better shape since we have not had that many hot days.
Golf Club at Cinco Ranch
Played On 11/03/2019Good price for fall golf
The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch is a good fall value. With other course in the area its hard to find a better value than Cinco Ranch. Course is is real good shape. With the cooler weather and precipitation we still have been able to get the GK has been able to provide a fair yet challenge test of golf.
Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club
Played On 03/23/2019First 9 greens need work
Meadowbrook Farms is a nice challenging layout but the front nine greens are in horrible shape. Greens are spotty, patchy, and no true roll. If you do play out here in the next two weeks I would suggest playin the back now twice. Greens roll true on the back
BlackHorse Golf Club - South Course
Played On 03/01/2018Watch out Greens ate slow
A co-worker and I decided to give this side a try after playing the north side a couple of times. Love the layout of the course but right now the greens are slower than the north. Probably a 9.0 on the stimp. Other than that it was an enjoyable round for my friend and I.
Vaaler Creek Golf Club
Played On 03/22/2017Texas Hill Country's little secret
I was presently surprise to find such an aesthetically pleasing course layout this tucked away in the hills. The course is in great shape barring a couple bunkers with maintenance, they also have some great risk- reward holes. I will definitely be back !!!
La Cantera Resort - The Palmer Course
Played On 02/22/2017Good Course for hot deal price right now
Course was is in decent shape for winter, but the bunkers were in disarray. If you got into to a bunker that was downwind there was no sand in the bunker, I'm talking less than an inch. Whether or not you had sand to hit out of in the bunker was pure luck. Greens were a bit bumpy but that is somewhat expected for winter greens. Finally, it would have been nice for someone on staff to heed a warning that some of the bunkers may not have much sand in them.
Lakewood Golf Club
Played On 08/9/2013Nice track off the beaten path
Nice public track in the NOLA area. Lakewood is in fine shape, greens are at a good speed. First timers better get a yardage book at the pro shop, alot of little ponds that come into play off the tee. Cart girl was not cordial at all. We didn't see her on the back nine at all and she keep my credit card. Once our round was done I had to go back and find her to get my card back. Unacceptable.
