Nice course, great shape !

Fox Hollow has always been a favorite of my group. The greens and fairways are always in very good shape. The bunkers have a good quality sand, and are always well raked. The course is very well landscaped and presents a beautiful appearance. It is by no means an easy course, but quite challenging with a nice variety of holes, The staff is very pleasant and the restaurant has a nice selection of food and drins.

Beautiful golf course...but not for the high handicapper

Probably the nicest golf course I have played in Southwest Florida. I had played the course years ago and the one thing I remember about the course was that it as in great shape. Once again, Riverwood did not disappoint. The fairways were lush, the tee boxes pristine, the bunkers were well groomed, and the greens were perfect and quite fast. Landscaping on this course is very well done, with many different types of trees and flowers bushes throughout the course. The course is very well layed out with many interesting holes. Several cool doglegs around palm trees with many strategically placed bunkers that involve serious thought for your second shot. Water on several holes comes into play, as it does on most all courses in Florida, and we did see a gator popping up out of the water on one hole. The pace of play was great, we were a foursome but did not wait at all to hit our shots on any hole. The course is not very "player friendly"', because if you were left or right on most holes you were in serious trouble in rough, sand traps, or woods taking a penalty stroke. On the fairways that were tight, your tee shot had to be accurate or else you were out of bounds, or out of play. Accuracy, especially off the tee, on most holes is key to scoring well at Riverwood. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and the price of $38.00 we paid on Golf. Now was a really good deal.
