The Club at Emerald Hills
Played On 12/29/2019Pretty Good - Great Value
This course used to be a little better maintained, but it was in pretty good shape when just played. Greens were pretty good, a little on the slow side and some bumpy areas, but overall totally acceptable. Honestly, the slower greens are bit more fair considering how undulating the greens are. The rest of the course was in fair condition; there were some bare/ugly areas away from the fairways, the fairways and tee box grass was a little long, but it had been raining a lot before I played.
The pace of play was pretty slow, and the starter did not get me off at my scheduled tee time even though I was there 25 min early, and almost did not finish the round because if it. They should do a better job with that aspect.
Overall, this course layout is very good and very challenging tee to green. There is a lot variation hole to hole throughout the course and homes do not overly encroach onto the course. A lot of fun to play. Would be be 5 stars if the conditions were a tad better, but they would probably charge more, so I'd take them as they are for the current price.

Played On 07/27/2017Great value - fun course
I played on 7/27/17 and the course was in very good condition. The greens were in very good shape and were running at a good pace. The layout here is varying and good challenge. The greens have a lot of undulation and some are pretty darn small. Water comes into play on most holes. Honestly, I can't think of course that provides a better value in S. Fla than this one.
Staff are usually pretty friendly here, although when I played last the young woman at the front desk gave me a bit of hard time about me showing up 17 min late for my GolfNow hot-deal time saying that they are only supposed to honor until 15 min. She let it slide in the end, but wasn't all that friendly about it.
