The course still needs some time to grow in, mostly in the fairways and the rough. The greens were nearly perfect, though. Very nice tee boxes. I had forgotten how much fun this course is- the elevation, the choices from the tee, and did I mention the greens? Large, smooth and in great shape. The putting surfaces on the course were better than the practice green which was a nice surprise. I have high hopes for the survival of the course this time around. It’s a little pricey compared to the other 2 or 3 courses nearby, but if the money keeps going back into course maintenance, it will be worth it.

Played celebration twice this month and can’t wait to go back again. All areas of the golf course are in great condition. Friendly staff at all parts of the facility- check in, starter, cart staff and restaurant and beverage cart. Very reasonably priced and with lunch included it’s an even better value. Pace of play was a little slow from the group in front of us but not too bad. Great round of golf.

Course is in really good shape! The greens are very good and we’re fast. Fairways good, bunkers were good and pace was steady, no waiting even though there were players in front. Unbeatable value!!

Panther Lake is in GREAT condition! Tee boxes, fairways and greens are as good as they can be. I just wish the golfers who play here would take better care of it. The carts have 2 bottles of sand and a bucket of sand with a scoop. Use it to fill you’re divots!! Fix your ball marks on the greens! This greenskeeping staff obviously works hard to give us this gem. Let’s do our part to help. Everyone benefits from that.

Have played this course before and always love to play it again. I used the “live chat” tab on the website to ask about aerification before booking. Instantly got the info I was looking for, they told me the dates crooked cat was done and when panther lake would be done. My group played a week after the greens were done and they were great. Very little evidence of the holes, and no sand top dressing at all. Beverage cart came by at least four times and we saw the ranger a few times as well. Very well run facility. After our round, people were waiting for our cart, guess there was a shortage due to a couple shotgun tournaments going on at the same time. We played early, beat the heat and the rain and finished right at the four hour mark. Awesome golf as always. This place is world class and close by for me. Love OCN !!!

I play courses all over Orlando and this was my first time playing Champions Gate CC. Booked online and was very happy they warned of aerification before booking. Most courses won't tell you before you show up to play. But it had been a week and a half, with lots of rain, so I took my chances and I'm glad I did. Range balls were included with the cost and I hit my share to warm up. Got paired up with a good guy named Paul from the U.K. and with a quick overview from the starter, Gordy, off we went. There were some two's and three's out in front of us so we played pretty fast. The greens were a little bumpy still but not bad at all. The course was in perfect shape otherwise. No brown spots, no bare areas and no wet areas despite the rains. We finished up in about 3 1/2 hours. There were some long drives between holes but not a big deal, we weren't walking.
There's no big clubhouse yet but that's not what brings me back to a golf course. It's the way they take care of the course and how they treat their guests that matters to me. This has already become one of my favorite courses and I will be back every chance I get. You should absolutely do the same!

This is a great place to play, not just because its inexpensive. The course conditions, especially the greens where it matters most to me, were really nice. I know they plan to charge these low rates all summer, and we all appreciate that. I just hope it doesn't hurt the course conditions by doing less maintenance.
