Kissimmee Bay Country Club
Played On 12/31/2017Greens need attention
Kissimmee Bay is a nice course to play but the greens definitely needs attention and maintenance.
Remington Golf Club
Played On 12/30/2017Legends Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/29/2017Very nice course
Whereas most courses in Florida are flat Legends holes are sloped making golf very attractive.
Although temperature was rather low (54 F = 12 C) we played the course with pleasure. Pace of play was very good since not a lot of snowbirds on the course.
We will absolutely come back to play this course when wheather is better.
The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 12/27/2017Scenic course
Reserve course at Orange Lake is a great course to play. Good fairways and challenging greens with lots of slope.
Winter Pines Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2017This par 67 is worth playing
Winter Pines, although only par 31 on the back 9, is worthwhile playing.
Friendly staff, good kept fairways and fast greens are ingredients for attractive golf.
Due to a number of consecutive par 3's waiting for previous flight to clear the green slows down the pace on second 9.
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 12/24/2017Very nice course
Playing white and blue course on Christmas eve was a very pleasant experience. Well kept fairways and very fast greens make playing golf joyful.
We will certainly return!
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 12/23/2017Kings Ridge always ok
Returning to Kings Ridge means friendly staff, starter explaining the rules and a course in good condition although greens are rather slow.
Advantage of no water hazards is that you do not lose any balls.
Oaks National Golf Club
Played On 12/21/2017Getting better every year
Having played Oaks National for several consequetive years we see the improvements. The greens have turned into spectacular fast ones due to special grass. Some greens though had recently undergone maintenance resulting in some sand patches.
Watch out for gators. We encountered several; a large one on hole 16.
Advise to male players: if your carry is not beyond 150 yards you will have trouble to avoid water at several tees. Rather play yellow than white.
Kissimmee Golf Club
Played On 12/20/2017Nice round of golf
Playing at Kissimmee golf is enjoying golf, wildlife and airplanes. All together for an affordable price.
Being distracted by airplanes taking off or landing is characteristic for this course. Be aware of alligators though they sun bathe at every pool side. And cranes trying to steal your lunch while eating.
Greens are all different depending on the length of the grass.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 12/28/2016This is a Must Play
Where most golf courses in Florida are rather flat this was the first one where holes are actually sloped. The course is very scenic and a joy to play since there are no water hazards (and no aligators).
We will absolutely come back to play this course. It's great value for money, friendly staff and a starter that explains what is needed for a joyful round.
Stoneybrook East Golf Course
Played On 12/27/2016Water all over
Before you start a round on Stoneybrook Golf Club be sure to bring enough balls!
Every hole has at least one water hazard so make sure you choose the appropriate tee. I tried the golden, not a good idea after all.
Course is in good condition.
On hole one I had trouble finding my ball between the tens of white driving range balls that had landed there instead of in the pond where they were supposed to go.
In the course I found numerous range balls and cigarette butts maybe something to remind players of the etiquette.
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 12/26/2016We need to come back soon
Going to Florida is mostly because of the good wheather conditions.
Wheather forecast said 10% chance of rain. That's why we did not bring any spare, dry clothes.
The course seems fine although we only have played the first four holes.
After that we were soaking wet and unfortunately needed to decide to return to the clubhouse.
So we need to come back soon to find out whether the next 14 holes are ok too.
Willowbrook Golf Course
Played On 12/25/2016Willow Brook is pleasant golf course
Playing Willow Brook last year we decided to come back. Amidst of orange trees and ashore lake Fannie the course is foregiving with wide fairways. You have to play it to find out that although forgiving it certainly is not easy.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 01/05/2016Very good course to play
We have played the Rio Pinar course when staying at Orlando. The course is in pefect condition, fairways are wide and even the trees are foregiving.
All and all a very nice place to play a round of golf.
Starter is very strict in tee off times, so be punctual.
Oaks National Golf Club
Played On 12/31/2015Wow, what a challenging course!
There is golf and there is Oaks National. What a challenging course. Lots of demanding hazards which will bring out the best in you. For some hazards you need to bring a carry of 200 yards, so please let your ego at home and bring a 'big dog' to overcome.
Otherwise tee off from red (I'm not kidding)!
Staff is very friendly and trying very hard to get the course back into it's old shape. Unfortunately the greens are currently very sandy which makes putting a real night mare. Hopefully the grass will return very soon because this course is a MUST play.
Kissimmee Bay Country Club
Played On 12/31/2015New years eve golf
Kissimmee Bay is a good place to play golf.
Golf course is accurately maintained and greens are fine. We were amazed by the wildlife on the course.
Start interval is 8 minutes which is sometimes a little short for previous party to clear the pitch.
Layout of the course should be shown better on scorecard to support first time players.
hsteenhu,
