I was hesitant to play here based on the bad reviews. Bottom line, Henderson holds its own with other public courses I've played in the Savannah area. Nice fairways, greens that rolled true and a friendly staff. I like the layout of the course. I'm glad I played here. I look forward to coming back for more.

The guys in the pro shop were some what cordial, but not welcoming or friendly. I've had much better experiences with the staffs at other courses here in the Savannah area. The course itself is a great championship layout. The fairways and greens are well maintained. Plenty of tees to choose from to match your skill level or preference. Pace of play on a Tuesday afternoon was outstanding. With the hot deal price through Golf Now it's a great value. I recommend this course to others looking for a good round of golf.

I experienced a friendly pro shop staff checking in. The practice range is good. They put bottled water in the on cart coolers. The course has green fairways and greens that roll true in a beautiful setting. I saw a flock of wild turkeys off the number 5 fairway. As others have noted the course is very close to the airport, but that didn't bother me at all. Since the course isn't in a housing subdivision most of the greens and tee boxes are close enough to facilitate walking. Only nitpick is the bunkers need some work. Overall this is a very good course. It's a great value at under $40. I look forward to playing it again.

As other reviewers have said this course is wide open; but that doesn't mean it's easy for most golfers. Miss a fairway or green on the wrong side and par becomes a real challenge. The course conditions were good for this time of year and should get a lot better with the spring green up. The greens were fast and challenging with lots of knolls & valleys. The layout is unusual in that the front 9 doesn't end at the clubhouse, but that shouldn't keep anyone from playing this course. There's a restroom near the 6th hole. The staff members were cordial and helpful. I enjoyed my round and will come back for more.
