TPC Tampa Bay
Played On 05/07/2023Not worth it
It was a gorgeous day. Originally, they wanted $225 to play TPC Tampa. Not sure why? We ended up getting a discount through my credit card, to $165. Still not worth it. Course was not in good shape. Several lies in the fairways were off dirt/burned out grass. Greens were ok.
Design was ok. The course was just okay. Perhaps I was expecting more, being a TPC label.
Streamsong Resort - Blue Course

This review is for the Black course. Played there 2 weeks ago. Apparently they have a fungus on the fairways, and it is bad. Possibly the WORST fairways I have ever played on. It was mud. Every hole.
The wonderful caddy we had, said we should have played one of the other courses. I mean this was awful. You had to pick your ball off this muck/mud every hole and find some grass.
Note to Streamsong management: Close your course till you get it right. Greenskeepers in the north are fired for way less than these conditions.
Dont waste your money guys on this one, till they fix it.
The greens were fabulous,and the biggest I have ever played.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club

Corkscrew is a very good course.
However, unbeknownst to me, the greens were top dressed with a whole lot of sand.
Which I understand.
That being said , you shouldn’t charge $175.
Give the customer $30 off or something.
Anything.

Short layout. Lots of water. Your typical Florida retirement development golf course.

Tobacco Road Golf Club
Played On 02/24/2017Slowest Round of golf- EVER
I love this golf course. However, I doubt I will want to play here again. The round was 5 hours and 40 minutes.
It was 2.5 hours on the front, and an incredible 3 hours and 10 minutes on the back. We waited on every single shot, on every single hole. It was horrible. Some of the holes are incredibly interesting. Greens were in good shape for February. We had players in front of us, that refused to pick up. Looking for balls every hole. Rangers were no help. They were pleasant enough, but they are limited on what they can do to pick up the pace. It was not a good experience.
