Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course
Played On 04/22/2022Lakewood Golf Club

Lakewood is probably my favorite course to play in the city. I'm not going to say its the nicest, but it does have a lot of character. From the cypress tree art statues, to the variety of landscape settings, and the crazy bunker shapes. It also feels nostalgic in a way; knowing all of the legends that have stepped foot on the grounds there. If I had to critique something it would be that the greens do have a few bumpy spots on each hole, and the fairways have several weeds that could be sprayed...
Bayou Oaks City Park South Course

First time playing the new Bayou Oaks course and man was it a beauty. The greens were in pristine condition and rolled true. The fairways and bunkers were immaculate. I loved the huge low hanging oak trees and the way the course followed all of the natural lagoons. The club house is brand new and really compliments the course well. The course is still young, but I would say that it needs "Landscaping additions"- Pine needles or mulch under the oaks, flowers and marsh grass to liven up some holes. The driving range is getting an upgrade, but right now its a cow pasture.
The Bluffs on Thompson Creek

Deep in the woods we pulled up on a resort style course that probably isn't getting the rounds it thought it was going to get. I thought the course was great. I loved hole #8 it had about a 40' drop almost 200 yards with water on the right and 2 huge bunkers. I wish we had something like this in New Orleans.
The Atchafalaya at Idlewild
Played On 09/17/2016Cool course
It was nice to get away from the flat New Orleans courses I'm accustomed to playing... I enjoyed this course, because of the layout. The bunkers were placed fairly and the greens were in perfect condition. The 18th hole was my favorite coming into the green was a tuff angle over the water shot. I would definitely make the 2 hour drive out to this course again.
The Preserve Golf Club
Played On 09/10/2016Very nice course!
Went for a bachelor party and wasn't expecting that! The drive up to the club house was an eye opener. Perfectly manicured grounds from start to finish. The driving range was the best I've ever hit on. Titleist golf balls built up on a pyramid. I had the flu at the time, but the course played extremely difficult to me for some reason. The wild grass was high and abundant on every hole it seemed like. I ended up taking a lot of penalty drops that day.
