I read about Soldier Hills preview on Golf Now and was looking forward to playing the course. It took a year for me to be able to get a tee time and was amazed what I experienced. Happy to play on NYC public courses, my first experience in Bergen County, Soldier Hills GC will be first on my list always. Thanks to Vince from the Club house who made the day even better!!!!!

I may be a bit bias, but I fell in love with the course the first time I played it. From the time you pull up and have Al help from the car with your clubs, to seeing Pete the Ranger driving by giving you a good word of encouragement. The course can speak for itself. Beautiful and well maintained. As a intermediate golfer, I can appreciate how the course makes you think. The scenery is beautiful as well as all the animals that run around the course.
I highly recommend this course.

I played this course 7 years ago when I was just starting to get into golf. Now as a 5 year full time golf buff, on a R&R Vacation, I booked a tee time with excitement knowing how nice and beautiful this course is, and the results were bitter sweet.
Due to the amount of golfers, play was very slow and I only got to play 9 holes, but because of the conditions, I was paired up with 2 gentlemen from Chicago (Cubbies Fan) and had a fantastic 9 hole experience. I later found out that in the Desert Palms area, many of the golf courses close down for reseeding around this time of the year, and that is what causes the backup in play.

Not a bad golf course to play if you live in Queens and don't want to travel far to play. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were in good shape.
The only negative was a couple of tee boxes were poorly maintained.

Deffinatly top golf course within the city limits. Worth the drive and $$. As soon as
You get there, you will feel welcomed as you are greeted and taken care of by Uncle Al. Course is challenging but plenty if fun as what a golf course should be.
I LOVE PATRIOT HILLS

I like Split Rock better than Pelham, scenery is a lot nicer as is the golf course. My low rating of rate of play had nothing to do with course, but I had a group in front of me that did not care of pace they were playing and the Ranger didn't do much to help. The food rating is due to at the turn, you can only get a burger or hotdog and drink, which is really ok with me.
Other than the group in front of me, I had yet another wonderful time at Split Rock

Very surprised by golf course as many told me not to play Blue. As a 3rd year player the course gave me enough of a challenge, and was surprised by the bunkers near the greens at all the holes.

I enjoyed my first time experience at Eisenhower Park Blue Course. As a beginner, it fulfilled all I needed to handle on a golf course. I enjoyed the layout and bunker placement. I would deffitnilly recommend it to my friends and anyone who ask about it.

As a new golfer, I feel the course was challenging and the scenic view was awesome. I learned that the course was sloppily due to where the golf course made. Yes, I will play here again and will update my review.
