Always a great value in the south Denver suburbs

Greens were outstanding, staff friendly and efficient, the course improvements monitored by the on-course team are greatly appreciated, and all add up to much appreciated improvements to the golfer's experience. Coming here is always a good time. The course receives a lot of play but when everyone remembers to play ready golf and fix their ball marks, and keep up the pace, somehow we all move through okay. The course is not long but it is fair and a good challenge, especially when the wind kicks up.

Excellent Pete Dye design and fun to play

The strength of this layout is it’s beautifully thought out design. Taking advantage of its majestic oaks dripping with Spanish moss and expansive marsh front vistas, this course will be easier for experienced golfers rather than those who are not, as the greens are elevated and small. Short game proficiency is essential to scoring well. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape, but the course’s popularity makes for slow going at times. There are a few water stations and toilets, but ask for their locations before you head out. There was no beverage cart on the course, so anything except water must be purchased at the club house when you finish the ninth hole. Practice balls are provided at the range when you choose to warm up. Practice areas are adequate but small. A very enjoyable facility and golf course.

Wonderful course and fun layout

The King and Prince is a great design and layout that is visually stunning at times and fun to play for golfers of various skill levels. Not a beginner’s course but the yardage markers throughout make it easy to determine distance but the winds create varying decisions throughout the round. Greens were in excellent shape and afforded true reads and opportunities. The wildlife and bird life add to the wonderful aesthetic appeal of this fine layout.

Always a fun layout to play

This is a fun layout to play and always worth the money. Greens were fast and true, which is all you can hope for on a nicely designed layout. This is one of my favorite layouts and I always try to get out for a lap during visits to north Florida.

Wide fairways, fun golf course

I trusted the reviews of others to book this course for our threesome and the consensus is right on: this is a super choice for golfers on holiday in Hilton Head. For a public course with a lot of play, its condition was outstanding. Wide, manicured landing areas off the tee diminish the intimidation from the pines. Fun layout with a variety of hole designs and angles. You will run through the bag as the round progresses. Greens rolled fair and true. We expected a good course and underestimated the experience by far. Outstanding staff, quick pace of play, fine round of golf. Strong recommend.

Fun golf course, penal off the tee for errant drivers of the golf ball.

Fun, hilly golf course overseen by a friendly, professional, and courteous staff. Greens in very good shape. I was a dewsweeper and it was obvious parts of the course had been heavily watered to protect the short game experience.
For first-timers, the key to Moorpark is twofold: pick the appropriate tees for your true handicap; and hit the ball straight off the tee where the cart GPS suggests you should hit it. You will encounter several blind shots. Rather than guess, trust the GPS, which I found to be accurate.
Also appreciated the little touches: chalking of the cups made them stand out, which helps put a good stroke on the true greens.
A scenic, hilly, up and down, well-thought out design with a thousand decisions to make. A most enjoyable experience.
