Mill Hill Golf Club
Played On 07/09/2014Will definitely be back
I'd heard a lot of good things about Mill Hill and wasn't disappointed playing there.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in good shape (greens were really tricky to read but ran true)
There's a nice mix of holes to keep it interesting with a good few long pars 4s so you need to drive the ball well to score.
The noise from the nearby dual carriageway was only distracting for the first couple of holes but the course feels really secluded (in a good way) despite it's location. I'm really looking forward to going back to try and make a few putts!!
Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course
Played On 06/05/2014A Really Great Day's Golfing
Excellent course conditions, tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers all in fantastic shape. Relaxing pace of play..Friendly staff and nice facilities. I'll definitely play there again when on my travels. A really enjoyable day.
Lochmere Golf Club
Played On 06/02/2014Potentially Great But Disappointing
Lochmere has great layout which could make it an amazing place to play. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly but the course conditions were really poor. The greens were bumpy, bunkers didn't have enough sand but the most disappointing element were tee boxes and fairways (i.e 90% of the time we were hitting off more dry dirt than grass). Even though the green fee was a good deal I found myself wishing we'd played somewhere else.
Winding Hollow
Played On 05/31/2014Excellent All Round….
The course was in fantastic shape (apart from drainage work on one of the holes but it didn't spoil the experience at all). Pristine fairways, greens, tee boxes and bunkers. The layout is fabulous, staff really friendly, clubhouse and facilities excellent. Along with a nice efficient pace of play this is one of the nicest courses I've played in the States.
