Need better food and beverage cart service

Did not see the food and beverage cart until hole 15. they lost about $40 of food/alcohol they could have been selling. Went in for a beer after round and bar was packed, no place to sit or stand so we just left. course was in good shape and pace of play was only 4 hours on a Saturday morning so very good.

Too many bunkers

I’m a 12 handicap and played with 3 friends who are probably 18’s. Layout is pretty good footprints but they need to remove about half the bunkers to make it fun. Too many holes where ther e are bunkers in the middle of fairways which unless you are a bomber can’t be carried/. Even with half the bunkers removed there would be more than there are on the Palmer course which is way more fun to play.

Good course

I have been in Phoenix 30 years and played most courses but had never played here before. Staff was really friendly and course, for summer conditions, was in better shape than most of the pricier Scottsdale courses I have played this summer. Bunkers actually had decent sand in them and greens were good too. Course layout is nice, tee box selection can make this a challenge for low handicappers (back tees are over 7,000 yards) or if you move forward, very playable for middle to mid high handicappers.

There's a lot of turfing and building of new cart paths underway so a bit of a mess. When that's complete this will be a really good course, plenty of room to use a driver and lots of risk reward holes. For $19 a great deal and staff were very friendly.
