Crescent Farms Golf Course
Played On 10/01/2017Wow!
I couldn't agree more with the most recent review. Crescent has always been a good track. However, with the new cart paths, fairways, and makeover to the greens it's the top public course to play in the St. Louis area right now. The greens used to be slow and shaggy. You can tell they have rolled and watered them heavily throughout the drought. Great work by everyone involved in making this a premier course!! It's a must play with it's current condition!!
Quail Creek Golf Course
Played On 08/20/2017Give It Another Chance
I think the reason people give Quail such a hard time nowadays is because it used to be a premier course in the area. With that being said, the conditions aren't perfect but are improving. Back in 2015, the course had made drastic improvements and the greens were some of the best in the area. After recent flooding the course has been hit hard. After playing the course last weekend you can see it starting to come back. The greens were in good shape and the bunkers are improving. A few fairways have seen better days but overall weren't terrible. If Quail was charging $70 a round on the weekend like Annbriar and Gateway I would say no way. However, for $38 this place is a great value right now with the conditions of the course. I will be back sometime soon.
Southwind Golf Course
Played On 11/10/2013Great Course!
Being from Winchester I have played Southwind a 100 times. I have played golf all over the country and there isn't a better value than Southwind. It plays wide open with undulated greens on almost every hole. If you keep the ball in the fairway you can score well. If you're off the fairway be ready for a lot of blind shots because of the hills. Overall, it's a course that always in good shape and will not break the bank.
