Perkinstony

I joined up with a nice couple from Toronto and one local golfer for a round at Atlantis. The greens were very trick, but the fairways were forgiving. The course was in excellent shape and they were doing a lot of work around the bunkers to improve them. The sand was easy to get out of and the weather was perfect.

This course offers lots of challenges even from white tees. Plenty of bunkers and water to get in your head. Add some wind and you can get beat up pretty easily. Pace of play was good.

We can always get a good price at this course and it is in consistently great shape. Staff is friendly and layout can be challenging.

Coming from the prairies every round in February is a bonus. Even though only 17 holes were open (#1 closed because of snow on it) this was still a very enjoyable golf experience. The course had dried up very well considering all the snow that had dumped on the region less than two weeks before. The greens were fast and it was nice not to have to play out of the sand with winter rules in effect. I was only a bit jealous of my playing partner who had paid less than half of what I did, but he was smart and waited until the last day.
