Although the front nine was aerified that day, the fairways were in great shape and the fairways and greens had a lot of character.

A great layout with many tough holes. The fairways are lush. The rough is very difficult, especially near the greens. The greens are smaller than average, and you have to know how to read the grain. Tee shots are wide open with tough approaches to well bunkered raised greens. I drive an hour to play this course when my home course is closed and there is a good deal on golf now.

The course was in great shape. The landing areas off the tee are wide, so the bombers can let it all out. The approaches to the mostly raised greens are tight, so accurate irons are a must. The rough is heavy so staying in the fairways and on the greens is a must. The surroundings are beautiful. Definitely a great value for the money.
